The showrunner of Freeform's Famous In Love series is denying there's any rift between her and the show's star Bella Thorne.

I. Marlene King responded after the actress, 20, tweeted she'd found about about the show's rumored cancelation via social media and that it was 'very hurtful.'

King took to Twitter, too, to reveal there is still hope a third season might happen and to state that she has 'a friendly and professional relationship' with the former Disney child star.

On Tuesday afternoon, Thorne retweeted a link to an article about her show's cancelation.

She wrote alongside it: 'If this is how I find out our show is canceled..I’m going to be so upset. Very hurtful freeform. I woulda liked a phone call maybe.'

She played the lead in two seasons of Disney-owned Freeform's romantic drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, money was the main issue along with falling viewership and rumors of difficulties between Thorne and showrunner I. Marlene King.

THR.com quoted several sources that said there had been clashes between Thorne and King 'with the actress exhibiting what sources described as 'diva-like behavior' on set.'

King, who was also the showrunner of Freeform's popular series Pretty Little Liars, clarified the situation in two tweets she posted a couple of hours later.

'Despite what may be out there I am not in a feud w @bellathorne. We have, and have always had, a friendly and professional relationship,' King tweeted.

She added: 'FACT: The ENTIRE @FamousInLoveTV cast and crew are crossing our fingers and toes as we light candles for a S3 pickup. #Raige On! ❤️.'

Starring role: The former Disney Channel child star played the lead in two seasons of Famous In Love

The Hollywood Reporter reported that producer Warner Horizon Scripted Television had wanted streaming service Hulu, that has the streaming video on demand rights to the series, to contribute a bigger chunk of the production budget.

Season two averaged 254,000 total viewers, down from 330,000 in its freshman run, the trade publication said.

Sources also claimed Thorne had wanted to leave the show 'having refused to participate in Freeform-organized live-tweets during its second season.'

The Shake It Up alum has a heavy social media presence, posting snaps of herself in skimpy outfits and teasing her romantic relationships.

Thorne, who declared in 2016 that she is bisexual, has been dating rapper Mod Sun and also last week shared racy pics of herself with 19-year-old galpal Tana Mongaeu.
