But Taylor Swift is clearly eager to get the sale out of the way, deciding to knock $100,000 off the asking price a mere five weeks later, bringing it down to $2.85 million.
The Bad Blood singer, 28, boasts an extensive property portfolio, but is said to be offloading some of her US residences, planning a move to the UK to be closer to her British boyfriend Joe Alwyn, 27.

The Beverly Hills single-storey house has 2,950 square feet of living space, featuresfour bedrooms, a large climate-controlled 1,000-bottle wine cellar and a chef's kitchen with top-of-the-range appliances.
Outside, there's a deck with a swimming pool and an entrance for an office/second property.
Taylor has also reportedly installed an elaborate security system with 11 cameras, thanks to her notorious problem with obsessive fans.
Over the spring, Taylor sold her nearby mini-estate for $4 million, slowly putting her numerous LA homes up for sale.

According to the LA Times, the home has been sold to Nicolas Bijan Pakzad, who is son of the late designer and House of Bijan founder, Bijan Pakzad.
Nicolas now runs the high-end menswear company, whose clients include American Presidents Obama, Clinton, George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush.
Taylor is now said to be looking for a home in the UK to be closer to her boyfriend of one year, actor Joe Alwyn.
London - where Joe is based - or rural Oxfordshire are said to be two key locations being considered by the star.
A source told The Sun last month: 'Taylor loves the UK and how she can live a relatively normal life without being disturbed. Setting down roots is something she’s thought long and hard about.'
