And on Tuesday, Sarah Hyland took to social media to reveal that she has been cleared to workout.

The Modern Family star gave her fans a video update on her day, and shared her plans to bring back her abs.

The actress, 27, was styled in a simple black crop top and grey track pants.

'Finally have clearance to workout. Abs here I come. It's been a while,' began the star.

'Strong > skinny,' concluded her post.

The post comes just a little over a week after the New York City native revealed that she had been hospitalized.

Sarah shared two snaps from what looked to be her hospital bed, on National Selfie Day.

'Sometimes a selfie is more than just a good angle or feelin' cute. This time for #NationalSelfieDay, I've decided to share my truth. As painful as it is,' she wrote.

It was in another photo, taken the day before the national picture holiday, that she revealed her hospitalization.

The selfie, Sarah is seen cuddling with her dog.

'Can't wait to come back to my precious angel princess. She's perfect and knows exactly what I need at all times,' she began.

'This was taken this past Sunday. Day before hospitalization. She was literally telling me to get treatment.'

'You know that family is always going to be there for you, no matter what. My dad gave me a freakin kidney!' she reportedly told Seveneteen. 'I have a second chance at life. Not a lot of people get that.'

Three years following her ordeal, she was interviewed by the magazine again, and recalled some important words from her mother.

'I was born with so many health issues that doctors told my mother I would never have a normal life. And she said, "You're right, she won't. But it won't be because of her health." When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me.'
