Lydia Bright EXCLUSIVE: Reality star insists she's happy for ex James Argent and Gemma Collins... yet confesses they no longer speak

Lydia Bright and James Argent were child sweethearts, before she found new love with Lee Cronin and he struck up a romance with former co-star Gemma Collins.

Despite their new loves, Lydia insisted she is nothing but happy for her ex and his girlfriend as she spoke exclusively to MailOnline during her glamorous appearance at the Polo At The Manor event at Wales' Celtic Manor Resort earlier this month.

The 27-year-old former TOWIE star spoke of her delight for her ex while also admitting her sheer joy at her romance with Lee, who she revealed is 'from a different world' yet they remain happy as ever together.

Lydia entered TOWIE in the latter section of series one, where she appeared as Arg's ex-girlfriend and teenage sweetheart - after he broke her heart by cheating with a mystery woman during a trip to Marbella.

The blonde beauty chose to forgive him and the duo became a couple in the next series, with their love confirmed when Arg bought Lydia a pig named Mr Darcy, although his infidelities and hard-partying eventually tore them apart.

With on-off dalliances and both stars ducking in and out of the show, news of Lydia's departure shocked fans, with her relationship with Arg shook further when Gemma revealed he slept with them on the same day in summer 2016.

Having left the show, Lydia has changed her life and has found love once more in Lee, who she admits is the love of her life, before confessing she is 'happy' for her ex.

Speaking to MailOnline, she said: 'It’s civil (with me and James), we just don’t really ever see each other or speak to each other. They’re happy and I’m happy for them. We don’t speak often, sometimes we do. If there’s press we’ll get in touch. It’s amicable.'

On life with Lee, Lydia admitted everything is rosy, as she said: 'Me and Lee are very loved up. On the 1st of July it will be one year since we first met. We met in Ibiza.

'We were in Amnesia in Ibiza. He came up to me and said: "Oh you’re that Lydia from TOWIE, just to say you’re much better looking in real life”.

'I thought: "That’s really annoying that he recognised me cos I thought you were really fit” until he recognised me. Then I thought, a boy watching TOWIE, that’s not very cool is it. We all had a big party, and I saw him the next day and we just hit it off.'

Having kept their relationship quiet for a year, Lydia revealed: 'Lee is not from this world. We didn’t expect it to happen. When we made it official, I said I didn’t expect for him to come to events with me. Me and him live very normal lives, he’s shy.

'We kept it quiet then he was like I’m so desperate to put something out and he’d put something on his Instagram. Now we’ve put more pictures up.

'I made that decision when I was 18 to put everything out there but he’s a different personality to me that’s why we kept it a little hush hush.'
