She was at the centre of fan fury on Tuesday after an awkward magazine interview went viral.

But Gemma Collins didn't stop smiling on Wednesday as she headed into the blazing Essex sunshine to film her brand new reality TV series, oozing hippie chic in bold printed co-ords.

The 37-year-old TOWIE star was seen arriving in Orsett Hall to film scenes from her new show, in what was the star's first outing following the release of a toe-curling interview with Now magazine, in which she appeared to reprimand the reporter for not reading a copy of her new book The GC: How to Be a Diva.

Gemma oozed summer chic in her low-key ensemble as she sported an eclectic matching top and trousers boasting a daring pink and purple floral print, teaming the look with pink rubber sliders.

The Celebs Go Dating star carried her essentials in a nude tote bag and finished her look with diamante-studded sunglasses, as she exited her car and headed into the lavish Essex abode.

Gemma had her blonde hair pulled into a simple up-do and showcased her typical TOWIE tan on the outing, finishing her look with a simple pink lip.

The beauty has been spotted out and about filming scenes for her own reality series, after confirming the new TV venture to fans on Instagram.

The GC's outing came after less than a day after an awkward interview was published in Now magazine, with its toe-curling nature causing outrage and hysteria on social media.

‘OK, so you're doing this interview without having done any research or read the book or anything?’ she barked tersely to a interviewer following a brief exchange of pleasantries.

Even a PR stepping in to inform Gemma that only a limited number of copies had been sent out failed to appease her, and the TV personality appeared to get increasingly irate as the interview progressed.

Gemma later attempted to terminate the interview after being asked what part of the book she likes best.

'Well, if you read it you would know, so... I think I'll wait until you get a copy and then you'll be able to embrace the book,' she said.
