Vogue Williams reveals pregnancy stresses... after being 'fat shamed', slammed for doing exercise and worrying her bump was 'too small'

Vogue Williams has revealed the many stresses she has endured during her pregnancy - including criticism she has received from other people about being 'fat' or, in stark contrast, 'too fit'.

The model - who recently married her boyfriend Spencer Matthews - is a staunch fitness enthusiast, and spoke on Tuesday's This Morning about being told exercising is 'endangering' her unborn child.

'I was just training [in my online posts] and I’ve always trained… obviously I train differently now, because you do when you’re pregnant, but I’ve always trained since I was 17 so I wasn’t going to stop when I was pregnant.

'But as soon as I was posting these, people were constantly saying "you’re putting your baby at risk, you shouldn’t be doing things like that, that’s not the way you should do it".

'Everything I do is okayed by my doctor and okayed by my trainers. People just seem to have such an issue with women training when they are pregnant. To be honest, it’s anything you do when you’re pregnant, if I put up a picture and there’s a can of coke in the background, you’d get a comment saying "you shouldn't be drinking coke when you’re pregnant".'

'It really bothered me about the training. To be told you’re endangering your baby is really offensive. You don’t know about my body. I’m lucky I’ve been able to train, for the first 15 weeks I couldn’t as I was too sick.

'I’m not preaching but no one should dole out advice like that.'

Vogue, 32, went on to recount that she has 'never had so much advice off people' since announcing she's expecting, and that she 'wishes she'd kept her pregnancy news to herself for a bit longer'.

'It does stress you out. I got loads of people saying "your bump is so small". I went to the doctors over it, and I said why is my bump so small, and they said he’s a big baby, which is brilliant but also terrifying.

'Maybe I should have a bigger bump, everyone is different.'

On the flip side of this, Vogue revealed that she has also been 'fat shamed' - and at her own baby shower too, to rub salt into the wound.

'It was like water off a duck's back, but at any stage of pregnancy, to fat shame anyone... just leave it,' she said.

Surmising, she said: 'It’s so easy to be negative and [for online trolls to] hide behind a computer. It does affect me. Social media has got so nasty.'

Asked if she's worried about the issue continuing when the baby arrives, she joked: 'Yeah I can’t wait for parent shaming!'

Of Spencer, she added: 'Spencer’s delighted, he can’t wait, he’s built all the baby stuff... you need a lot of stuff!'

Spencer and Vogue's first child is due in early September, and Vogue showed off her blossoming bump for her TV appearance.

She was seen arriving at the studios in a flowing white and blue patterned sun dress, nipped in at the waist just enough to sow off the bump beneath.

She allowed her sandy locks to fall loosely around her shoulders and she sheilded her eyes from the hot London sunshine in a pair of round trendy shades.

Despite her large bump, the TV presenter looked comfortable as she attended Spencer's best friend Hugo Taylor's wedding to Millie Mackintosh on Saturday, opting for a stunning Helen Steele lavender gown.

The couple - who have been friends with Spencer since before they starred on Made In Chelsea together - tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Whithurst Park in West Sussex.

Spencer and Vogue's special day came just four months after the couple announced their engagement.

One month before announcing their pregnancy, Spencer popped the question to Vogue following a performance of The Lion King at London's Lyceum Theatre after just over a year of dating.

Vogue was previously married to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, 38, from 2012 to 2015.

Spencer's elder brother, James Matthews, 42, is married to Kate Middleton's younger sister Pippa, 34.
