Their husbands and boyfriends were tucked up in bed ahead of another day of training.

But that didn't stop the England WAGs from letting their hair down and heading out for a night on the town on Tuesday.

Led by Jamie Vardy's wife Rebekah, nine of the players' partners donned their summer frocks and designer handbags for a swanky meal at Sunday Ginza in Saint Petersburg.

Social media posts showed the women laughing - and pouting - as they sipped on chilled glasses of white wine and bottles of Champagne against the backdrop of a luxury marina before moving onto hookah pipes as the celebrations continued.  

They also indulged in mouth-watering desserts including a molten chocolate cake and a mango and passion fruit meringue. 

Rebekah, 36, a mother of four, was one of the last women standing following the girls' night out, posting an Instagram snap of the sun rising over St Petersburg at 3.56am.

The proud partners, who turned out in force for the first two England matches, will fly out to join the players in Kaliningrad either today or tomorrow ahead of their next tie against Belgium on Thursday.

Their travel arrangements have been made by the FA, which means they are booked on the same flights as England supporters. 

But last night the focus was on quality girl time - and they appeared to be getting on famously. 

The fun started before they even stepped foot inside when the group posed in a line-up outside.

The image recalls the snaps taken of Victoria Beckham and co when the England WAGs descended on Baden-Baden in Germany in 2006. 

Designer bags were the order of the day with Yves St Laurent, Chanel and Gucci bags all clutched in their well-manicured hands.

Alongside high-profile partners like Rebekah and Fern Hawkins were those like Mille Savage, 24, childhood sweetheart of Manchester City defender John Stones, and Gemma Cahill, 32, wife of Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, who prefer to stay under the radar. 

Shannon Horlock, girlfriend of England newcomer Nick Pope and daughter of former Manchester City midfielder Kevin, made her WAG debut in a leather skirt and midriff-bearing top.

Some of the England players' wives and girlfriends have chosen not to travel to Russia amid concerns over their safety. Those who have flown in for the action have been provided with extra security by the FA. 

Harry Kane's fiancée, Katie Goodland, is supporting from England as she is pregnant with the couple's second child.

Located in the picturesque Krestovskiy Island, the restaurant specialises in Japanese food and offers a stunning summer-house-style setting, overlooking the beach.

It has proved a popular venue for World Cup revellers and yesterday hosted a party for Argentina supporters.  

Despite their high profile, the WAGs were seated in the midst of other customers on a single long table on the terrace. 

The inside portion of the restaurant transforms into a bar with a dancefloor after dark - complete with live entertainment. 

The WAGs soaked up the stunning beach view as the sun set, with Rebekah Vardy sharing a snap of the setting on Instagram.

The restaurant serves a fusion of Japanese, Uzbek and European cuisine. The average cost-per-head is a modest 2,000 rub (£24).

Signature dishes include the tender dorado fillet with vegetables, cooked on a strong fire and wrapped into a banana leaves and the flat papardelle noodles with tender shrimps and fresh, purely Italian pesto sauce.

It is not known what the WAGs had for their main dishes but both Rebekah Vardy and Fern Hawkins shared snaps of the group tucking into mouth-watering desserts, including a strawberry cheesecake and a molten chocolate pudding with ice cream.

Glasses of fizz were also spotted on the table. A bottle of Cristal Rose Champagne will set you back around 8,353 rub (£100) at the eatery.

Mille Savage, 24, has been with Manchester City defender John Stones since she was 15 — and has hung on to him despite an embarrassing scandal.

Here, she looks a little ill-at-ease in the spotlight and truth be told she is a lesser-spotted WAG. In fact, until now her only known extravagance was a passion for the chicken restaurant Nando’s.

She and Stones met in South Yorkshire and they now live in a £3.5 million mansion in Cheshire with their toddler daughter and pet dog Buster. Stones earns £100,000 a week playing for City.

The couple bought the house after Millie forgave her boyfriend for cheating with events organiser Jessica Peaty. She claimed in 2016 that she and Stones had met for sex at a hotel in Manchester, and enjoyed a ten-week fling after he told her he and Millie were no longer in a relationship.

After the story was published, Stones had a picture of Millie’s face tattooed onto his arm in a bid to prove his love.

Model Annie Kilner has three sons with 28-year-old defender Kyle Walker but just this week she told OK! magazine she hoped the couple could have a daughter soon to balance out the household.

Having recently called the goalscoring ace her 'King', little wonder as he has already scored five goals in two games, the 25-year-old put up posters of the sportsman in action, featuring the words: 'He's one of our own.'
