The Tuesday evening edition of Lee’s nightly radio show was originally hanging in the balance after the presenter revealed he was in hospital awaiting treatment following the bizarre episode.
But the 44-year old later insisted he was well enough to present after sharing a shot of himself with his head swathed in bandages as he sat in a wheelchair outside an A&E department.

I'm back: The 44-year old later insisted he was well enough to present after sharing a shot of himself with his head swathed in bandages as he sat in a wheelchair outside an A&E department
Captioning the shot, he wrote: 'Ok. The doctors here are incredible. I’ve had a tetanus and a few other injections. They GLUED the scratches on my head back together with GLUE.
'I’m woozy and in shock but fingers crossed I’ll be on air tonight at 10 on @talkRADIO on DAB, app and talkradio.co.uk.'
Lee originally broke the news to Twitter followers shortly after claiming he had been savaged by the commonly nocturnal bird in broad daylight.
Posting on Tuesday afternoon, he wrote: ‘Sorry guys. Not sure I’ll be able to do the show tonight. This is the weirdest thing but… I’ve just been attacked viciously. By an owl. It sounds like a joke but it’s not. Just sitting in A&E with blood everywhere.’

Another wrote: 'I'm 41 & had no idea owls attacked people until I watched The Staircase Doc on Netflix last week. Apparently the dead woman's injuries are consistent with an owl attack. Blood everywhere. Heal up soon Iain. Gutted for you.'
However others were less charitable, with one tweeting: 'Never happened. Blood everywhere but tweets about it.'

The commented to a quick response from Lee, who hit back: 'Didn’t say blood everywhere You can still tweet if you’re bloody. I’m in a lot of pain.'
When another followers reminded the presenter that he did in fact claim there was 'blood everywhere,' he hastily added: 'Sorry. Might have done. Very very woozy. About to be seen by the doctor. Pray for me.'
The unlikely episode is the second bizarre incident to compromise Lee's popular talkRADIO show, The Late Night Alternative.

Spat: However others were less charitable, with one comment getting a swift reaction from Lee as he awaited hospital treatment
In March he was rescued by twenty firefighters after falling down a well in Milton Keynes, leading to police officers 'blue-lighting' him to his radio studio.
Speaking to listeners after the incident - which left him needing a neck brace - he revealed he had thrown money in for luck, but it had got stuck in the side, and as he attempted to abseil in to retrieve it his rope snapped and he plummeted to the bottom.
Lee - who is separated from wife Helena, with whom he shares two children, - recalled: 'I'm stood at this well and I've got a 20 pence piece and I thought I'd make a wish because things have been - with my mental health and marriage - things haven't been great and I thought I needed a bit of luck.'

Revealing the coin got lodged in the side of the well, he continued: 'You know what I did? I'm such an idiot. I'm so embarrassed. What I did first of all was try to reach it leaning in head first.
'So there's the rope with the bucket, I'm testing and pulling it and I think it's going to take my weight and I go in feet first and.... I fell into the well. The water went up to just below my knee.'
Explaining that the emergency services did not see his case a 'priority', the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star had to wait for two hours until two firetrucks and 20 firefighters eventually came to his aide.
'The firefighters were p***ing themselves laughing. Man alive you should've seen their faces when they pulled me out and realised I was that guy from the jungle.'
