Heidi Klum sports a Germany football shirt to drop kids off at camp... but soon whips it off when her home team crash out in humiliating World Cup exit

Heidi Klum played the role of doting mother as she strolled through the city with two of her children on the way to summer camp in New York on Wednesday morning.

The 45-year-old television personality donned a black duster and showed off a little pride for her home country wearing a Germany FIFA World Cup T-shirt, but later went onto ditch the top following the team's elimination in the group stages.

Heidi's outing came as the home team were knocked out of the tournament by a 2-0 loss to South Korea on Wednesday afternoon, with the team going out in the group stages for the first time in 80 years.

Sadly Heidi's support for her home team proved fruitless, as the reigning champions left their fans devastated after crashing out of the tournament in the group stages.

For the first time in 80 years the usually formidable side fell at the first hurdle, with a 2-0 loss against South Korea instead sending Mexico and Sweden through to the knock-out stages.

Reflecting the mood of the nation, Heidi was later seen without her Germany shirt following their unfortunate defeat, instead going for a plain white t-shirt under her coat and jeans.
