And the award for best dressed goes to..! Duchess of Sussex is shortlisted for a Teen Choice Style Icon gong (and she’s up against Harry Styles)

  • Meghan is being considered for Outstanding Supporting Actress category
  • Her final season of Suits aired earlier this year, ahead of the royal wedding
  • Other cast members including Patrick J. Adams have also been put forward

She's swapped Hollywood for life as a royal, but Meghan Markle has been shortlisted for a major showbiz award - just weeks after her Emmy nomination for her role in Suits.

The Duchess of Sussex, 36, is in the running for the Choice Style Icon award in the 20th annual Teen Choice Awards, alongside A-listers including Blake Lively and Harry Styles.

The winner of the fashion gong, which celebrates the best dressed people in showbiz, will be announced on August 12- although Meghan, now based at Kensington Palace, is unlikely to attend the star-studded ceremony at The Forum arena in Inglewood, California.

Meghan's final episode of Suits, which saw her tie the knot with on-screen love interest Patrick J. Adams, aired in March, some four months after she swapped Toronto for London.

Join the royal fold in a chic cape dress like the Duchess of Sussex in Givenchy

What does one wear for a joint engagement with the Queen?

It's not a dilemma the rest of us face on a daily basis, but it's a decision the new Duchess of Sussex had to make ahead of her visit to Cheshire earlier this month!

Following on from her Carolina Herrera look at Trooping the Colour, the newlywed got it spot on by choosing Givenchy, the designer label that was of course behind her bridal gown.

We love the elegant simplicity of the nude hue and pencil fit, but it's the layered cape detail that takes this look to another level. When teamed with a black belt, clutch bag and court heels by Sarah Flint, she perfectly complements the Queen in lime green Stewart Parvin.

It's a custom made design so isn't available, but click (right) to buy something similar. Or check out the Meghan-inspired styles we've found by Royal-approved brands such as The Fold and Suzannah.
