While Amazon is known for changing the prices of its products on a regular basis, you can definitely find some good deals on Prime Day. Amazon typically reduces prices on its own brand products several times a year, such as on Black Friday and on Prime Day. So you’ll find the Echo and Kindle ranges cheaper on Prime Day than on most other days of the year.
You can track the fluctuating prices of products on Amazon on the website CamelCamelCamel. By entering an Amazon UK web address or keywords you can find out whether the same product has previously been sold at a lower or higher price. For example, if you search for Kindle Paperwhite, you can see that while the current price is £109.99, the e-reader was previously sold for £79.99 in November 2017, around the date of the Black Friday sale. The price has also fluctuated between £89.99 and £109.99. Using this price tracker you can find out if the prices you see on Amazon Prime Day are real discounts compared to the previous pricing of the same products.
We consider that Prime Day does offer real deals, with discounts equivalent to the deals on other sale days. Compared to normal shopping days you can definitely find a bargain on Prime Day.
