Azealia Banks sets up crowdfunding campaign to raise $100,000 to SUE Russell Crowe for hotel room altercation in 2016

Troubled rapper Azealia Banks has set up a crowdfunding campaign to help raise $100,000 to sue Russell Crowe after their infamous altercation at the Beverly Hills Hotel back in 2016.

The controversial musician, 27, was removed from the Oscar-winning actor's hotel suite two years ago after eyewitnesses alleged she made violent threats.

Now Banks has set up a Go Fund Me page named 'Sue Crowe for spitting on AB campaign' where she asked fans to help her raise $100,000 after being caused 'irreparable damage to my acting career and my reputation' by the star, 54.

The rapper intends to donate the money to ocean clean up charities if she is successful with her planned lawsuit.

The rapper added: 'It's important to send a message that black women also deserve justice and will get justice in these situations.'

'Crowe called me a n****r, choked me, and spat on me... if I were a white singer he wouldn't have even thought about laying a finger on me.

'So many things like this happen in the entertainment industry and it's time that ALL these perpetrators get reprimanded so they STOP this violent behavior!!'

Azealia has raised $1,853 in two days, and according to MusicFeeds she wrote on Instagram in posts that have since been deleted: 'I don't have $100,000 dollars to play with right now, [but] I can get this son of a b****... and make her pay the price.

'That s*** was fucking embarrassing, that s*** make me lose so much time in my career.

'We would have been had [her album] Fantasea II if this shit didn't stall me and put me in a deep ass f***ing depression and s*** like that, and I would really like you guys' help.'

Several sources, including Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, insist that Azealia was the aggressor though, with one claiming she was acting 'erratically,' and disliked Russell's music selection.

She allegedly said: 'You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s**t.'

The source said she then cocked her glass back, at which time Russell intervened, wrapped her in a 'bear hug,' and escorted her out.

On the night after the incident, the rapper wrote on Facebook: 'The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today,' however, her post was deleted shortly after.

RZA has corroborated the rapper's claim that the Australian actor 'spat' at her during the incident.

'Look, he spat at her, I saw that,' RZA admitted to American radio show Breakfast Club in October, last year.

It is claimed that he had invited about 10 people over to listen to music, including rapper RZA who brought Banks.

In December, Los Angeles prosecutors confirmed Russell would not be charged with battery for his role in the scuffle.

The LA District Attorney explained: 'The physical escort out of the room was justified to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks.'
