Catherine looked worlds away from her usual self with her brown hairstyle - the result of Calum Tierney's magic at the swanky Terence Paul salon.

While fans are used to her blonde, the actress was the picture of sophistication with her new 'do - which was cropped to the shoulders and styled into a bouncy blow dry.

Maintaining the chic feel from head to toe, the Manchester native slipped into a stylish floral jumpsuit for the outing - perfect for the blazing British sunshine.

However, adding comfortable flat sandals and opting for minimal make-up, Catherine kept things low-key as she embarked on a day of chores after her appointment.

The actress took to Instagram last week to confirm that she had filmed her final scenes as Eva.

Clearly a difficult day, she shared an emotional video of her being applauded by the soap's crew, as she broke down in tears on set.

The post was captioned: 'That’s a wrap!!! Time to hang up Eva’s stilettos and wonder bras! My beautiful corrie family I ADORE you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart xxxxx'

Catherine - holding the tot who plays baby Susie on the soap - was hugged by co-stars Alison (who plays Carla Connor), Georgia (Toyah Battersby) and Sam Robertson (Adam Barlow) in the video, after revealing to fans earlier in the week she was set to film her final scenes.

Eva's final months on the soap have been nothing short of heart-breaking after the blonde bombshell was left devastated by Aidan Connor's (Shayne Ward) suicide.

Despite finding it tough to walk away from the show, Catherine recently revealed that she's considering moving into more hard-hitting roles, after working on so many tear-jerking storylines.

She told The Sun earlier this year: 'I adore doing comedy and Eva has had that side to her.

'Kate Oates has really fuelled my desire to do some gritty drama as well. We'll see what happens. I feel really excited.'
