Mel B insists Spice Girls WILL perform together on tour despite Victoria Beckham shooting down reunion plans

Victoria Beckham reportedly put the brakes on the Spice Girls reunion plans earlier this year.

But her bandmate Mel B is standing firm, insisting on the Today Show on Wednesday that the girl group will perform together again.

Mel, who is co-hosting the NY-based morning show this week with Hoda Kotb, insisted Victoria 'is always bloody saying we're not performing'.

'We are touring!' she told her co-host when the conversation turned to whether America's Got Talent host Mel still loved getting up on stage.

'I still do [love performing]. I'm the only one that keeps on saying, "We're gonna be performing," which we are gonna be performing. Finally they got it together.'

Kotb brought up how Posh Spice told Vogue that the girls aren't reuniting for a tour though, to which Mel yelled: 'She's always bloody saying that Stop it! We are touring!'

'Yes, we are going to be doing performances together, for sure.'

Earlier this year it was reported by The Sun that the iconic pop band's reunion tour had been called off following rifts between Posh and Melanie C, Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton.

While Victoria has always insisted that she would never tour with the band again, the girls thought their original manager Simon Fuller would convince her, an insider told the website.

The women were set to make £30million each following the tour which was due to begin in late September after manager Simon masterminded the comeback.

The insider claimed that the band was in 'disarray' following 'heated debates between the girls and Victoria'.

The source said: 'Simon was brought in to convince her to take the offer but now he's failed they feel he's used them to put his name back on the map.'

It is claimed that the other girls approached Victoria and gave her an ultimatum between them and Simon.

However it is believed that she chose their manager, who managed to turn her brand into an empire.

The cause of this latest chapter in the reunion saga is apparently to do with money, with a source stating that Mel B and Mel C are wanting to 'cash in'.

Despite Victoria's apparent reluctance to perform, she will still relive the glory days as it is claimed she set to dress up as Posh Spice for British Vogue.

The shoot, which is set to tie in with Beckham family's first interview, will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Victoria's fashion label.

She is likely to embrace some of her most recognised looks, including a PVC black catsuit or the chainmail bikini she donned for the Who Do You Think You Are video.

The shoot is thought to have been masterminded by British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, who put the idea to Victoria.

A source told the Sun: 'This has been the brainchild of Edward and it's quite the backtrack from Victoria — and no doubt her ex-bandmates will be very insulted by this.

'It seems fine for Victoria to celebrate her Spice Girls past when it suits her but not when the other girls are begging her to perform onstage with them for one final time.'

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Victoria for further comment.
