Melania Trump is heading back toward the southern border of the United States but this time without her controversial jacket.  The first lady boarded her plane wearing a black shirt and white slacks for the flight. She was expected to visit centers Thursday housing migrants apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border. She was not wearing her green $39 Zara jacket and it's slogan on the back: 'I really don't care, do u' that overshadowed her last trip to the border.

Kristin Brodie (right), 22, filed the civil lawsuit on Friday in Washington state, where prosecutors had earlier declined to pursue criminal charges against Ron Jeremy (left) in connection to the alleged assault. Brodie accuses the 65-year-old porn star of groping her breast, grabbing her buttocks, sucking on her neck and digitally penetrating her over her underwear during a promotional event for a sex shop.

The unnamed attendant (right) was filmed as she reprimanded passenger Robyn Rogers, a female DJ from New York, (inset) before take off on June 23 at Fort Wayne airport in Indiana. According to Rogers, the flight attendant stood over her 'menacingly' after asking her to put her phone onto the right setting. She claims she tried to show her that she had with her phone but that the flight attendant carried on arguing with her. Eight passengers (one is shown left) were ultimately thrown off the plane.

Bridgette Marshall (right and center left) was found in her apartment in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with a self-inflicted gunshot found to the head minutes after her final phone call with her husband Steve Marshall (center, left and right). In a 21-minute press conference on Wednesday, Mr Marshall detailed health issues dating back to her childhood when she suffered from intense migraines. The migraines led to an addition to the hydrocodone and fentanyl used to treat them, and she 'didn't completely embrace recovery' after a stint in rehab. Mr Marshall said she also showed early signs of mental illness and during their marriage was diagnosed with a 'depressive disorder' and anxiety.

Warning: Graphic Content Michael Peterson, 74, believes Netflix documentary The Staircase helped overturn his murder conviction. The show, which was filmed across 16 years and shown in 13 episodes, documents his trial for the murder of his wife Kathleen Peterson (right). Last week filmmakers were forced to admit that the editor of The Staircase, Sophie Brunet (top center) fell in love with Peterson, during filming. Peterson has rejected claims that the show is biased but admits that the footage proved to be 'a very powerful instrument,' in his conviction being overturned in 2011 when it emerged that the prosecution's blood spatter expert SBI Agent Duane Deaver had lied under oath. Kathleen, 47, was found slumped and bloodied at the bottom of a staircase (center) in the family home in Durham, North Carolina.

Tiffany Moss, 35, is accused of murdering her stepdaughter Emani in 2013 in Gwinnett, Georgia. The child's charred remains were found in a trash can at the apartment complex where she lived with her father Eman after he called 911 threatening to kill himself. Emani weighed just 32lbs when she died and had not eaten for two weeks. Her father pleaded guilty to murder last year and will testify against his wife as part of his plea agreement. He was sentenced to life without parole instead of execution. This week, she shocked judges and lawyers by refusing an attorney and announcing that she wanted to enter trial representing herself.

A Philadelphia jury last week awarded Kristin Lisi $600,000 in compensatory damages and $2.4million in punitive damages from Gregory Englesbe. The former Scarpetta waitress claimed she suffered a torn rotator cuff when Englesbe forcibly kissed her at the restaurant two years ago. Englesbe took responsibility for kissing Lisi but said that he didn't think he caused such an extensive injury.

Billionaire playboy Diego Novella (bottom right) is facing life in a hell-hole prison after being found guilty of the horrific murder and desecration of his American fiancée. Novella, 44, strangled and smashed in the skull of marketing executive Gabriela Kabrins Alban (left, with Novella and top right), 39, after downing a massive cocktail of drugs at their $1,300-a-night hotel villa in Cape Town (inset left). The Guatemalan claimed the mind blowing concoction made Gabriela, the daughter of a Beverley Hills entrepreneur, appear as a 'demon' and he admitted launching a ferocious attack to 'kill it.'

A 28-year-old woman who describes herself as a Democratic Socialist is poised to be the youngest member of Congress, and she already has her eyes on President Donald Trump's job. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's upset Democratic primary win in New York City over Rep. Joe Crowley stunned politics-watchers, and she's a near shoo-in to win the November general election in a deep-blue New York City district. But her mother Blanca told the New York Post that 'her aspiration is to be the president.' Ocasio will turn 35 less than a month before the presidential election of 2024, making her eligible to win the White House.

In an updated version of Mika Brzezinski's 2011 book, Knowing Your Value: Women, Money, and Getting What You're Worth, being released later this year, the Morning Joe host opens up about a lunch she and her co-host and now-fiance Joe Scarborough had with Trump in 2017. Second lady Karen Pence (left) has been slammed on social media for wearing a 'too short and tight' dress to meet King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan (right). Vice president Mike Pence and his wife welcomed the royals to dinner at their residence in Washington, D.C. on Monday. Pence later took to Twitter to share pictures from the day and say that he, King Abdullah and President Donald Trump had a 'productive' meeting at the White House. But it was his Karen's black and pink dress that social media users jumped on – with one urging Pence to 'get your wife a stylist and quick!'

Cops waited in a corridor of the Mandalay Bay hotel while Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire from the floor above, it has emerged.  Body cam footage released by the Las Vegas police department shows officers holding their position on the 31st floor while Paddock killed 58 people upstairs. A report on police radio describes the scene outside, saying: 'Automatic fire. Fully automatic fire from an elevated position.'

In the hilarious video the moggy, named TJ by its owner, pauses as it spots the slithering snake across a bench at the centre in Nova Scotia, eastern Canada. Taken on June 20 this year, the amusing clip captures the pet's look of utter confusion as it sets eyes on the snake, presumably a pet brought in by its owner for a check up.

The predator called Lola goes for a cuddle with a man as he sits in an open-sided vehicle - with an unprotected child sitting inches away. Then the big cat tries to kiss a young girl whose nervous mother clutches her tight before it is pulled away with his bare hands by world famous lion whisperer Oleg Zubkov, 50, owner of the park.

The startling scene was caught by a security camera in the city of Nogales in the Mexican state of Sonora. In the video, 22-year-old Minerva F.S. can be seen dashing across three lanes of traffic in a pair of high heels. The woman passes in front of a pick-up truck and steps out into the third lane of traffic as a car comes driving past. She then slips, falling onto her backside directly in front of the car which crashed into her. The victim is caught under the car's wheel and dragged metres before the vehicle comes to a halt.

The older brother of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins (inset) who was arrested in connection to the death of a music producer found dead in the NFL star's New Jersey home (right), has an extensive rap sheet. William Jenkins (left) is charged with aggravated manslaughter in the death of Roosevelt Rene, 25, who produced music under the name 'Trypps Beatz.' Both William and Rene were living in the NFL star's Fair Lawn home.  Police say Rene was found dead in the basement, and he may have been strangled. William, 34 (left) has a lengthy criminal record that includes convictions for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, two burglaries, grand theft, and several convictions on criminal sales of a controlled substance.

Hunter Harris, 23, is being hailed a hero for saving a choking man's life on Friday at an Austin Chick-fil-A. The rescue was caught on surveillance video at the fast food chain. The entire deed unfolded in just 20 seconds. A man in his 50s stood up in distress when he began to choke. A nearby customer ran to perform the Heimlich on him but the man continued to choke. That's when an employee at the chain alerted Team Leader Harris, who ran onto the scene, and successfully helped dislodge the food stuck in the victim's throat. A couple months ago Harris also saved a coworker's life with the Heimlich as well.

The rib-tickling footage was taken in Utica, New York by Jordan Erario and shows him sending his cat into a frenzy using sleight of hand. The challenge - essentially a game of peek-a-boo where owners hold a sheet in between them and their pet before throwing it in the air and running away - makes it seem as though they have disappeared. Now cat lovers have got in on the action.

This is the moment a tourist got a mammoth surprise when he reached out to pet an elephant and the annoyed animal smashed him to the ground with its tusk. The man can be seen offering the large animal a palm leaf and reaching out to pet it. Seconds later, the elephant sends him flying with its tusk. Pierre the pup was surrendered to the Humane Society of North Texas on Tuesday. It was clear Pierre had been neglected from years and was suffering from the weight of the fur. Thus his dreadlocks needed to be carefully sectioned and removed to avoid additional pain.

But just as he reaches out his hand to tag his friend he loses his footing, trips and falls flat on his face. The prankster could be seen making 'superman' gestures as he made his way up the steps.

A man in the Bronx was sucker punched and left knocked out in the middle of the street. Sprawled out on the ground, his pockets were rifled through, and his assailants came back to take photos. Two suspects approached the 37-year-old man Monday morning in the area of University Heights at 6.10am. One of the men (left) punches the victim squarely in the head. While the man is unconscious on the ground (left), suspects other than the the two original assailants, go through his pockets. They took his cell phone and identification, according to the NYPD.

The woman checked her pet, named Skooty, onto a Malaysia Airlines flight from Labuan to capital city Kuala Lumpu before boarding the aircraft. But she got the fright of her life when she looked out of the window to see her white cat running off into the distance. The flight was delayed for 10 minutes while staff tried to find the pet. But when other passengers started complaining the plane took off anyway - with no sign of the cat.

Rick Ferrino, 62, passed away June 20 succumbing to his stage four lung cancer, three days after he fulfilled his dying wish and saw his 23-year-old daughter Beth get married. On Father's Day June 17 Beth and fiancé Austin Reese married at Rick's hospital, where he was wheeled out in his bed to attend the ceremony. His daughter said: 'Every time I took my dad to his doctor's appointments, his chemo, his surgeries, he would always tell the surgeons, the doctors and nurses, I have to be there for my daughter's wedding I have to make it through, I'm going to fight this fight for her wedding.' He died three days later surrounded by his family.

The video released by the Georgia State Police shows John Watts, 58, setting himself on fire using fireworks strapped to his chest outside the Capitol, and a trooper extinguishing the flames. The Air Force veteran suffered burns to up to 90 per cent of his body in his attempt to protest the VA system.

A stunning close-up shot of a humpback whale calf's tail has been revealed as the grand prize winner of the 2018 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year contest. Reiko Takahashi from Japan, who quit her office job to pursue her passion for underwater photography, took the striking image, titled 'Mermaid', off the coast of Japan's Kumejima Island. Along with choosing an overall winner, judges of the 2018 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year contest went about selecting winning photos in three categories including 'nature', 'people' and 'cities'. Pictured, from top left clockwise: Reiko's grand-prize winning shot, Alessandra Meniconzi won first place in the 'people' category, Enrico Pescantini scored second place in the 'cities' group and Gaanesh Prasad came third in the same class.

Hungarian cartoonist Gergely Dudas, better known as Dudolf, hid a single rabbit somewhere in a group of cats and challenged players to find it. The brainteaser was shared on Facebook on Tuesday and has since attracted comments from hundreds followers who were left stumped by its difficulty. The viral artist, also drew a number of mice into the scene to add an extra layer of difficulty.

Heidi, 24, is a sales associate from Oregon. She is also a 'little,' part of a subculture of people who enjoy dressing up as adult babies for several hours a day. For Heidi, age play isn't sexual, and she uses dressing up as one-to-three-year-old to escape her worries in the real world. Mihir Jain, 14, from Delhi, India, is believed to have been the world's fattest child, weighing a more than 37 stone (523lbs/237kg) at his heaviest (inset). Mihir had been an average-sized baby, but thanks to a diet of fried food and fizzy drinks, he ballooned as he grew up, already weighing a whopping 12.5 stone (176lbs/80kg) aged five. The 5ft 2in teenager underwent a gastric bypass surgery in April (left), and in the past two months, he has lost over ten stone, and is now 27 stone (379lbs/172kg) and finally able to walk unaided(right).

Sidd Sinha, 31, asked Melanie Diaz, 29, to marry him last month while the pair, who met in West Hartford, Connecticut, were enjoying a trip to New York City. Melanie and Sidd had fun all day long visiting 'the best city in the world' before taking a detour by Trader Joe's, which turned out to be the biggest event of their vacation. Once Sidd and Melanie stepped inside the store, Sidd immediately pointed to a sign that read 'Millennial Grocery Tour – Today Only!' The pair embarked on a specially designed interactive experience across the store's three floors, which included various nods to their relationship. It ended with Sidd getting down on one knee (top right) to pop the question.

The Van cat, native to the Van region in eastern Turkey, is known for its love of water, and to cater to these felines' need for a dip, the local breeding centre has built custom-made cat pools. It is thought that the Van cat developed its love for swimming to hunt for fish in the nearby Lake Van. The Van Cat House, run by the Van Yuzuncu Yil University, is dedicated to ensuring the endangered breed's survival - and makes sure young kittens learn how to swim.
