Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield arrive at This Morning on 11-tonne tank to honour Armed Forces Day

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield honoured Armed Forces Day by arriving to the This Morning studio in military style on Thursday.

Informing viewers of the special day, Phillip said, 'It’s Armed Forces Day this weekend, so we are arriving at work in a 11.3 tonne British Army armoured saladin vehicle… and there is no better way to arrive at work.

'It’s also funny how people get out of your way!'

Keep it short and sweet like Holly in a suit from Miss Selfridge

From double denim yesterday to a tailored shorts suit today, This Morning host Holly Willoughby is clearly a big fan of the matchy matchy trend!

Her blazer and shorts on today's show are from Miss Selfridge and we love the pastel blue hue. It's a fresh approach to tailoring and a look that's perfect for the heatwave we're having!

Click (right) to buy the full suit now, then complete Holly's outfit with her Jigsaw shirt and Office heels via the links in the carousel below. Or why not try adding trainers and a white tee?

Alternatively, since short suits are hot property right now, we've found plenty more pastel picks to help you try this style. Boohoo and Zara have got our favourites!

Armed Forces Day is an annual event celebrated in late June to remember the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces.

Addressing viewers, Phillip said: 'This vehicle served in the Middle East in the 60s and 70s and served in Northern Ireland and has a top speed of 45 mph.

'To mark the day, events will be going on up and down the country this weekend.'

Holly said, 'Well, we couldn’t do this is the old studio! And it would have been manned by a crew of three, just like today, and our driver Nick deserves a round of applause for driving into the studio.

'So Armed Forces Day is this Saturday and it’s your chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to service families, veterans, and cadettes.'

Phillip also sent a message to the forces currently tackling the Manchester fire. He said, 'We would also like to wish all the armed forces helping the emergency services to fight the fire on Saddleworth Moor, so good luck to all of you. Incredible job that you’re doing.'

Wow thing: While Holly wasn't exactly dressed for getting in and out of a tank, she looked fantastic all the same

Before adding, 'Also thanks to the Norfolk Tank Museum for bringing us to work today! Thanks Nick, I don’t envy you backing it out…'.

After getting down from the tank, Holly smiled, 'I made it! Do you know it’s not easy getting out of that in a heel!'

Once the show started, Holly said, 'It is very odd sat here with the tank glaring at us! It kind of has a face…'

Phillip added, 'It looks like there’s been an invasion… and it is quite intimidating.'
