Alexis Bellino's husband Jim filed for divorce from the former Real Housewives Of Orange County star last week after 13 years of marriage.

And now, according to TMZ Thursday, Jim is threatening to sue his estranged wife's costars Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador over comments they've made about him.

TMZ reported that his lawyer fired off letters to both women accusing them of making false statements and defaming the businessman.

The lawyer cites a recent interview in which Tamra called Jim a 'shady mother****er. TMZ said, and also suggested his divorce might be 'fake and for legal reasons.'

In the letter to Shannon, obtained by TMZ, he says she lied about him shutting down his trampoline business and alleged 'people get paralyzed ... apparently that happened'.

Meanwhile, Jim and Alexis put out a joint statement Thursday about the end of their marriage.

The statement, published by UsWeekly, read: 'It is with heavy hearts that we inform the public of our mutual decision to end our marriage — but it’s important to us that you know we made this choice together, with love, and as the best decision for our children’s future.

It went on: 'We hold one another in the highest regards as spouses, and especially as parents. We have agreed on 50/50 custody of the children, and we ask that you respect our privacy by not theorizing about the reasons for our divorce.'

'In recent days and weeks, there has been a lot of negative discussion about our marriage and why it is ending. Outside of the news of our decision to part ways, there is nothing provocative, alluring, or sordid about the dissolution of our marriage. Quite to the contrary, we strongly support each other just as we have since the beginning of our relationship.'

Alexis, 41, starred on four seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County from 2009 to 2013.

She and Jim married on April 16, 2005 and share three children; son James, 12, and 10-year-old twin daughters Melania and Mackenna.

It will be the reality star's second divorce as she was married to her college sweetheart from 2002 to 2004.

The blonde beauty - who was known for her Alexis Couture clothing line on the show - regularly shares family snaps on Instagram but hasn't shared a snap of Jim since April.

Last weekend, Alexis and the three kids traveled to Montana for a vacation and on Tuesday she shared a swimsuit selfie from their holiday home with the caption: 'Bringing the one-piece back into my life.'

She also shared snaps of her children enjoying horseback riding and rounding up cattle.
