EastEnders PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: The Slater clan descends onto church grounds as they film the christening of baby Hope

Her tangled love triangle between beau Martin Fowler and his former wife Sonia has been causing tensions in Albert Square for weeks.

Yet, Stacey Fowler appeared to put the recent drama behind her as she cradled her daughter Hope, who she welcomed with husband Martin, ahead of her christening alongside her second cousin Kat.

Lacey Turner, who plays the fiery character, slipped into a vibrant yellow lace dress for filming and teamed the summer look with a pair of snakeskin print wedges as they celebrated the little one's milestone, which is sure to be filled with drama.

The former Our Girl actress continued to portray her role as she worked her brunette locks into a tousled wave and sported a bright red lip while holding onto baby Hope, who was clad in her christening garments.

Portraying every inch her Albert Square alter ego, Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater on the BBC soap, appeared on set with her hair in rollers and wearing a striking leopard print wraparound dress for the family gathering.

The 46-year-old actress wrapped a black waist belt around her midriff as she carried a plastic bag over her forearm and wearing her UGG sliders.

Enjoying the sunshine, she completed her head-turning ensemble with a pair of oversized shades with her statement gold earrings.

Also making an appearance at the highly-anticipated christening was Big Mo Harris, Jean Slater and Stacey's troubled cousin Hayley, who recently set tongues-wagging after she revealed her pregnancy and hinted that her relative's husband could be the father.

Martin's suit clad appearance at the event comes as his marriage with Stacey is back on track. However it wasn't without it's fair share of awkwardness as their rekindled romance is revealed in the most embarrassing way.

Taking things to the next level in the back of Martin's van, the pair tried to keep their reconciliation a secret from everyone on Albert Square, but they were quickly exposed when a police officer interrupts them having sexual relations.

In the awkward scenes which appeared late last month, Martin (James Bye) and Stacey were forced to explain themselves as a crowd gathered around to see what all the fuss is about.

Meanwhile, Jessie has been lying low since British Soap Awards organisers deemed the actress ‘too drunk’ to appear at the star-studded annual event earlier this month.

The star was said to be outraged by the decision, which resulted in her failing to make an appearance on the red carpet outside London’s Hackney Empire, The Sun reported earlier this month.

Jessie, best known for her role as fiery Kat Slater on the BBC soap, is understood to have arrived at the Soap Awards following a reported drinking session that began hours before the ceremony’s scheduled 7:30pm start time.

The actress had looked notably worse for wear in a social media snap shared by a male friend as they slumped the back of the cab while en-route to the show on Saturday afternoon.

But organisers reportedly stepped in after she ‘refused to stop drinking’ at a pre-event reception, and she was 'sent home' by 7:00pm.

A source told The Sun: 'Jessie had obviously been drinking quite heavily before she arrived. She was slurring her words, and then started knocking them back at the pre-ceremony party too.

'Someone approached her and told her she needed to slow down but she seemed to totally ignore the advice and was angry about being told what to do.'

The source added: 'She claimed she was fine but she obviously wasn’t. She made her feelings totally clear by mouthing off. It looked like the sort of thing Kat would do, except it was real life. It was like the Jessie of old.'

Jessie's 'inebriated' state has prompted fears that she could be returning to the hard-partying ways that almost derailed her career in the mid-2000's.

In 2003 the actress was banned from the road for three years and fined £1,000 for drink driving.

She was one and a half times over the drink drive limit after her Mercedes was stopped by police officers in Chelmsford.

The actress was previously banned from the road for 15 months some five-years earlier for failing to take a breathalyzer test.

In video footage filmed by a passer by the actress appeared to collapse in the street during a night out in Soho in March.

Ex-boyfriend Chris Osborn later claimed the actress's drinking ruined their relationship and would frequently pass out at home after 'messy' boozing sessions.

The builder, who dated Jessie for three months in 2006, alleged the brunette would drink multiple bottles of expensive Sancerre wine, drunkenly ripped £50,000 paintings off a wall and jumped in a holiday swimming pool with her clothes on.

He said: 'Jessie used to get as p***ed as a pudding and in the end that was the thing that got in the way of us. Our relationship was 100mph.'
