'I'm happy for him!' Jennifer Lopez reacts to Marc Anthony's engagement to Shannon De Lima... and reveals she 'won't be single forever'

Jennifer Lopez wished her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, well upon hearing that the singer had gotten engaged to model Shannon De Lima.

'I'm happy for him,' Jennifer told the New York Daily News on Thursday.

The 45-year-old, who is currently promoting her new book True Love, also said she is hopeful she will meet someone special soon.

'I am totally single. It's not going to be forever. Someone great will come along,'she said.

Marc and Shannon are reportedly planning a November wedding in the Dominican republic.

Speaking recently about former romances in general, Jennifer blamed her failed relationships on her showbiz entourage.

The Booty singer has admitted that having so many helpers in her home might have negatively affected her romantic relationships.

Jennifer's comments on the matter came up during a True Love book talk with Hoda Kotb at New York City's 92nd Street Y on Thursday.

Wedding bells: While the engagement was announced recently, it began back in March, and a wedding will be coming soon for Marc and Shannon

Speaking about her single status, Jennifer explained: 'There's a lot of people in my life and that's hard. There's people in the house. There's hair and make-up. It's a lot, I think, for someone to deal with.'

'Forget about all the outside stuff, being judged, being under scrutiny in the relationship ... I guess that adds in ... but I think they would say that [the entourage] was a big part of their discomfort, if there was any.'

Jennifer ended her seven-year long marriage with her third husband Marc in 2011, three years after giving birth to their now six-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian.

As reported by the New York Post's Page Six, she struggled to break the news of their divorce to her children.

Jennifer said: 'You don't really say anything to a three-year-old, because they don't really understand anything is happening ... I remember like maybe after Marc wasn't in the house for about eight months, Max saying something because my dad came over.'

'It was so painful,' Jennifer explained. 'I go, "That's my daddy," and he goes, "My daddy left me." I said "No, baby, your daddy didn't leave you. You know how my daddy goes home? Your daddy goes home, too." You're just scrambling at that point. What can you say to a three-year-old?'
