Lewis Hamilton poses in kilt in photoshoot to 'make amends' after mocking nephew for wearing a 'princess dress'
He faced a social media backlash after he shared a controversial Instagram video of him chastising his nephew for wearing a 'princess dress' last December.
And Lewis Hamilton wore a tartan kilt to 'make amends' for his behaviour in an interview with GQ Magazine.
The Formula One driver, 33, spoke of his regret after he posted the video where he told the youngster: 'boys don't wear princess dresses'.

In the photoshoot, Lewis donned a patchwork tartan kilt before swapping into a black kilt as an acknowledgement of his mistake.
Speaking of his regret, he said: 'I still hold regret for it today, but ultimately I think it's important in life for people to be held accountable for their actions and particularly their words, and I was.
'I've been through quite a lot [of criticism], although there are things I regret in my life, I wouldn't go back and change them, because if I did I wouldn't be the man I am today, I wouldn't have the mindset I have today.

'I wouldn't have grown if I hadn't fallen and stumbled and gotten back up. A lot of the getting back up from the things I have experienced has been so tough that I didn't think I would make it through, particularly with [what happened recently].'
On Christmas Day, the racing driver, an avid user on social media, took to his Instagram account to publicly highlight the youngster's choice of attire.
Hamilton's nephew opted to don a pink and purple princess dress for the big day, and looked chuffed with his costume while waving around a pink wand.

But Lewis questioned the outfit, and jokingly criticised the young boy, captioning the post using an embarrassed monkey emoji, which said: 'I'm so sad right now — look at my nephew.'
He then asked the youngster: 'Why are you wearing a princess dress? Is this what you got for Christmas?' Why did you ask for a princess dress for Christmas?'
He then shouted ‘Boys don’t wear princess dresses!’ before the youngster covered his ears with his hands and turns away.
Taking to his Instagram the F1 star wrote: 'My deepest apologies for my behavior as I realise it is really not acceptable in the world today for anyone'
Hamilton apologised for the post, writing: 'Yesterday I was playing around with my nephew and realised that my words were inappropriate so I removed the post. I meant no harm and did not mean to offend anyone at all'
Following a social media backlash, Hamilton has apologised for the comments, writing: 'Yesterday I was playing around with my nephew and realised that my words were inappropriate so I removed the post.
'I meant no harm and did not mean to offend anyone at all. I love that my nephew feels free to express himself the way we all should.'
In a second post he added: 'My deepest apologies for my behavior as I realise it is really not acceptable in the world today for anyone, no matter where you are from, to marginalise or stereotype anyone.
'I have always been in support of anyone living their life exactly how they wish and I hope I can be forgiven for this lapse in judgement.'
