Posh parades her FOURTEENTH engagement ring from 18-year union to Becks... as collection adds up to staggering £8.9million

For most women, it is something to treasure for life – an eternal reminder of the day that 2 Become 1.

But for Victoria Beckham, it seems, the ring on her engagement finger is a more temporary affair.

The singer-turned-designer has updated hers an astonishing 14 times since footballer husband David first proposed with a £65,000 marquise-cut diamond in 1998.

While their relationship has stood the test of time, the original ring has failed to make the distance for a dedicated fashionista who prefers her left ring finger to be every bit as up-to-date as her clothes.

Last week Victoria, 44, was seen at Paris Fashion Week with yet another ring: a £120,000 square-cut yellow diamond set on a platinum pave band.

It appeared just weeks after the couple were forced to deny rumours of a divorce, which were described by their representatives as ‘laughable and embarrassing’.

The latest addition brings the combined value of the collection to around £8.9 million, according to Tim Belson of Hatton Garden’s Prestige Valuations.

Another set David back £700,000 – a pink-champagne diamond halo ring to celebrate Victoria’s 30th birthday in 2004.

‘They are incredibly beautiful, timeless pieces which have been very much in fashion at the time she got them,’ Mr Belson added.

A friend of the Beckhams confirmed that David, 43, has always been generous.

‘He doesn’t buy Victoria a ring every few years, but he’s treated her to some of them,’ she said, adding that Victoria had stumped up for the rest.
