Susanna Reid downs 'neat vodka' after Piers Morgan tells her to 'strip off to help ratings' on new late-night show Good Evening Britain

They're the hosts of new evening show, Good Evening Britain - a spin off from their daytime news series Good Morning Britain.

And clearly enjoying the freedom of a late-night broadcast, Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan were even more full of banter than usual - swigging alcohol and making saucy innuendos aplenty on Thursday night's edition.

As Piers took to the beers, Susanna necked 'neat vodka' (it was actually water) and was told not to be 'too hasty' when she revealed she wasn't going to be 'taking anything off' on the show.

Try the bardot trend like Susanna in a red dress from Oasis

Susanna Reid's look for last night's one-off Good Evening Britain show was an even more glamorous version of her usual Good Morning Britain outfits!

She was styled by Debbie Harper in a chic off shoulder midi dress in a striking shade of red, which featured frill layers and a nipped-in waist. When teamed with a bouncy blow dry, red lipstick and nude heel from Office, we loved this ensemble!

Her dress is from Oasis and if you want to add it to your summer wardrobe then click (right) now. Wear yours with swept-up hair to make the most of the neckline, then either dress it up with heels or keep it casual with sandals or trainers.

Alternatively, look radiant in red with the help of our edit below. Asos, Very and Boohoo have got some great lookalike options so you can steal Susanna's style in just a couple of clicks.

This was prompted by Piers lamenting England's performance in Thursday's World Cup game against Belgium, which saw them lose 1-0.

Talking to guest David Ginola, Piers said: ''Ties off mate. Get the beers.'

'I just want to point out that I'm not going to take anything off,' Susanna insisted.

'Can you not be so hasty? We need the ratings,' Piers quipped, before adding: 'After Panama we felt so happy. We were going to win the World Cup. It was going to be Bobby Moore all over again. And tonight we all feel crushed.

'But we should just have a quiet beer and just reflect that we overreacted to the Panama game. And now we're probably overreacting to what could be football suicide.'

'I didn't get one!' Susanna remarked. 'I have a glass of neat vodka!'

And with that she swigged from her water.

Other than former football star David, the show welcomed Danny Dyer - who threatened to 'strangle' his daughter Dani's boyfriend Jack Fincham if he joins the Love Island villa's 'Do Bits Society'.

The EastEnders legend, 40, appeared on Good Evening Britain to discuss his girl's stint on the ITV2 dating show, in which she has found love with the Essex stationery salesman.

The protective father shared his thoughts on the 'Do Bits Society', a term coined by contestant Wes, for those in the villa who had taken things further than simply kissing under the covers.

Although he conceded Jack was a 'good kid', Danny claimed he would 'strangle' him if he dared to join the group with Dani, after he posted a video on his Instagram of Bruce Lee destroying an office building as a warning.

He said: 'I'd have to strangle him or something, I'm joking, I can't moan as a father, she hasn't put a foot wrong, me and my wife are like parents of the year.'

Although he did add: 'He [Jack] seems like a good kid.'

Jack didn't appear to be in Danny's good books as hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid told him live on air that he had been whisked away to a separate villa called, Casa Amor, with six new girls on Thursday's episode.

He said: 'Don't start telling me that, winding me up, when I'm here.'

Talking about his daughter being on the show, Danny admitted that he didn't want her to do it as he 'fears as a father'.

He added: 'I did struggle at first, it was difficult, but as it's gone on I think what she has done - she has proved actually with this reality TV she can be a decent girl with self-respect, dignity.

'Not rolling around under the bed sheets, in respect of a man but loved and adored by young people. She's completely spun it on its head.'

Although he did warn that if Jack breaks her heart, he does get the 'hump' as Dani's previous boyfriends have discovered.

He said: 'I'm quite a liberal parent, I have to trust her choices. She's made a few mistakes, I'm not too harsh on them, but if they upset her - I will have the hump, like any father.'

Although he did worry for the couple's new-found fame when they eventually leave the villa in the next few weeks, he said: 'I fear more for Jack, he doesn't know what fame is, it could be a struggle for him...'

And talking about his dreams for Dani to be an actress and go to drama school, he added: 'Yes I did, she's a talented actress. I struggled with it, but it is an instant thing at the moment, it's an instant career.

'You try something like this, Love Island, earn loads of money, crack on... who am I to judge? It is a career, you get loads of dough and get loved and adored for it.'

Piers and Danny also went head-to-head about their thoughts on the Mallorca-based reality show.

In the past, the presenter, 53, has called Love Island stars a bunch of 'brain-dead zombies' but he was quick to backtrack his comment when he was sat in front of the soap actor

Piers jokingly said: 'You may have been led to believe, through social media, that I've spent the last three weeks calling every contestant on Love Island, a bunch of brain-dead zombies.

You what? Jack didn't appear to be in Danny's good books as hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid told him live on air that he had been whisked away to a separate villa with six new girls

'Obviously, I'd like to clarify, that doesn’t include anyone in the villa called Dani Dyer, which I believe is your daughter, there's been a terrible misunderstanding. She is obviously a shining oasis of intelligence, beauty and grace.'

To which Danny quipped: 'Yeah, just stop talking, Piers, stop talking, rambling on, I’m sorry, Piers. Just calm down, stop getting so emotional.'

He said: 'Yeah, my daughter is on Love Island, Piers, it's a nutty thing. I didn't want her to do it, I'd never seen it before - you fear as a father. But what it is, is entertainment.

'It is what it is, it's a game show, there's £50,000 at stake, it's a lot of dough, and Dani's gonna win it. She's gonna nick the reddies.'

Danny went on to defend the 'brain-dead' contestants and he said: 'Listen, all I can speak for is my daughter.

'They're not all idiots, one of them is an A&E doctor, right? I can't believe I'm on here fighting for Love Island. Listen, at the end of the day, it was her decision, she's a grown adult and a smart kid.

'I've always believed, you don't teach a kid what to think, you teach them how to think. I'm a very liberal parent, she's gone on there and span it on its head.'

The villa was spun into chaos on Thursday night's show when the boys were whisked off to Casa Amore and met by six new girls, including Jack's former flame Ellie Jones, who immediately confronted him on his past behaviour.
