They are clearly still very much head over heels in love, after tying the knot three years ago.

And so it's no wonder Cameron Diaz, 45, and her husband Benji Madden, 39, could hardly keep their hands off each other as they took in the sights of Florence, Italy on Thursday.

The couple looked in high spirits as they snuggled up to each other while strolling through a gorgeous lush locale.

Cameron had her arm thrown over her husband's shoulders as they relaxed in the garden.

The actress had her blonde hair pulled back into an effortlessly stylish yet slightly messy 'do, with her radiant features shining through.

She kept it casual and comfortable for the outing as well, sporting a lightweight teal sweater, white T-shirt, flowing trousers, and white sneakers.

Benji wore a black T-shirt, trousers, and hat for the occasion.

By the looks of things, it seems as if Cameron is making the most of her retirement.

Cameron's most recent film was the 2014 remake of Annie, in which she played Miss Hannigan, the role originated in 1976 on Broadway by Dorothy Loudon and popularized further in the 1982 movie by comedy icon Carol Burnett.

This year, she described herself as 'actually retired' in an Entertainment Weekly retrospective interview about her 2002 film The Sweetest Thing.

She was looking back on the movie with her co-stars Selma Blair and Christina Applegate, and the subject of a potential reunion came up.

'I'm literally doing nothing, too! I'm semi-retired, I haven't worked for years. I'm a mom, that's what we do. So I'm around, man,' said Christina.

Cameron piped up: 'That's so awesome. I'm totally down. I'm semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.'

Benji has an identical twin called Joel, who on top of also being in Good Charlotte performs in a double act with his sibling imaginatively called The Madden Brothers.
