Ariana Grande's fiancé Pete Davidson is slammed for 'sick' Manchester bombing joke about her fame after saying 'Britney Spears didn't have a terrorist attack at her concert'

Ariana Grande's fiancé Pete Davidson has been slammed for making a sick joke about the Manchester bombing at one of his concerts.

The 24-year-old comedian reportedly made the disgusting gag in a stand-up routine after 22 people died at the Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017.

The heinous attack took the lives of nine teenagers and an eight-year-old girl after a homemade bomb ripped through the foyer as they were leaving the Dangerous Woman tour concert.

Now a mother who lost her 15-year-old daughter has branded the joke 'heartbreaking' and 'outrageous', reports The Mirror.

In the routine, which was allegedly performed at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles five months after the blast and a year before their romance began, Davidson joked about Ariana's fame.

He said Ariana must have realised how famous she had become because 'Britney Spears didn't have a terrorist attack at her concert'.

Davidson is famous for his crude gags but many believe the sick joke was too far.

Charlotte Hodgson, who lost her daughter Olivia Campbell-Hardy, told the Mirror: 'For anyone to joke about this situation is disgusting and I think he should publicly apologise for it.

'The families will find it equally as disgusting. We don't need jokes about it, there have been plenty around, and it's heartbreaking to hear every day.'

Ariana herself was hugely affected by the bombing, admitting to Vogue earlier this month that she has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms in the aftermath.

The star, who was made an honorary citizen of Manchester after returning to the city for a fundraising gig, even has the city's symbolic worker bee tattooed behind her ear.

She recently added to her tattoo collection by getting 8418 tattooed on her foot - the badge number of Davidson's firefighter father who died in the 9/11 attacks.

Survivor Jade Clough, 30, told the Mirror: 'This isn't something to joke about, it was a terrorist attack targeted at children. You don't joke about things like that in a stand-up comedy show.

'I'm still suffering on a daily basis, I still have nightmares, and Ariana herself has suffered from PTSD. What the hell?'

Davidson has declined to comment.

Ariana and Davidson met back in March 2016 when she guest presented SNL which the comedian regularly appears on, but were both in relationships at the time.

The No Tears Left To Cry hitmaker broke up with Mac Miller after two years on May 10, with Pete breaking up with his girlfriend Cazzie David on May 16.

By May 21 the couple had reportedly begun dating, and publicly confirmed the relationship at the end of the month.

The fast-moving couple got engaged just weeks into their relationship, confirming it on Instagram on June 15.

Now the couple are living together and are joking about their empty new apartment on Instagram.
