Declan Donnelly 'sends supportive 'be strong' text message to Ant McPartlin's estranged wife Lisa Armstrong after being torn over their bitter split'

Declan Donnelly has reportedly sent Ant McPartlin's estranged wife Lisa Armstrong a supportive text. 

The TV presenter, 42, allegedly reached out to the make-up artist for the first time since the couple announced their split in January with the message: 'You know where I am if you need to talk. Be strong.'

According to The Sun, Dec has 'found himself in a difficult position and is torn' over the pair's bitter split which has seen Lisa flee to Los Angeles while Ant has moved on with their former PA Anne-Marie Corbett.

Emphasising the fact that he is 'best friends' with Ant, the source also admitted that he 'feels for Lisa and everything she's going through.'

'He doesn’t know what to do for the best. He’s not been in contact with Lisa since she and Ant split but decided he had to reach out after Ant's new romance was revealed,' it was stated.

Speaking further on his dilemma, it was continued: 'He doesn’t want any ill-feeling. He’s in such a difficult position, especially with things getting more ugly.'

His efforts to reach out to Lisa have reportedly paid off as she is now 'content' with Dec after feeling let down by him.

This comes after Lisa took to Twitter on Sunday to lash out at all the 'lies, lies, lies' over reported speculation over the demise of her marriage with Ant.

The television professional is currently enjoying something of a break in Los Angeles as she continues to wear her wedding ring, despite taking it off earlier this week. 

Lisa also finally removed the picture of herself with Ant from her Twitter banner, five months after he announced their split, publicly.

Speaking of the matter, Lisa has also revealed that she will be adding no further comment and has not authorised anyone to speak on her behalf

Her denial follows on from claims that Ant is offering his estranged wife their sprawling West London mansion, in a bid to come to their divorce agreement as smoothly as possible.

According to The Sun, the presenter wants to settle their split 'quickly and painlessly'. The paper reports the couple, who split after twelve years in January, are now only talking through lawyers, following a number of tense conversations over the phone.

Keen to smooth things over sooner rather than later, Ant has now reportedly offered Lisa their multi-million pound home in Chiswick, in return for her signing the paperwork.

A source said: 'Ant wants this settled quickly and painlessly. He doesn't want to fight and made it clear Lisa could have an extremely generous offer.
