Barrison looked more than a shade fortunate to maintain his unbeaten record over fences in the Cara's Celebration Handicap Chase at Southwell.

Coming down to the second-last fence it appeared a question of how far the leader Danby's Legend would win by, but he crashed through the obstacle and took out Jaja De Jau for good measure.

This left Barrison (11-4), successful on his debut for Dan Skelton at Wincanton in May, to finish four lengths clear under the trainer's brother, Harry.

"I think both Harry and I would admit we'd have probably been second," said Dan Skelton.

"I had him entered in a couple of races next week but on form, he's second rather than a winner today, so I won't rush him."
