They can often be seen showing off their parenting skills with daughter Mia but Zara and Mike Tindall enjoyed some alone time at Wimbledon this afternoon - and they certainly seemed to be enjoying their rare day alone together.

The Queen's granddaughter and her husband looked loved-up as they larked around on Centre Court at Wimbledon on Monday.

The couple, who both have a sporting background, took their seats in the Royal Box at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in order to secure a killer view of Andy Murray's victorious game against Benoit Paire today.

Cheeky Zara was seen cosying up to her man as she planted a huge kiss on his cheek - and even inspected his head for sunburn - during their day out.

And while Zara kept a keen eye on the court she could be seen directing some of her focus onto her husband.

Clearly concerned about a potential sunburn Princess Anne's daughter could be seen inspecting the top of Mike's head as he played on his phone.

The couple appeared to be feeling especially romantic this afternoon with Zara pictured putting a loving arm around her husband's shoulder during the game.

Zara couldn't keep her hands off her man as she lent in for a cuddle 

What's going on? Zara grinned as she poked her husband playfully in the eye. Despite her efforts to wake the sleepy head up, it didn't seem that much could be done to enthuse him

With little Mia Tindall left at home the couple were able to enjoy some quality time together

Both Zara and Mike took breaks from watching the game in order to send a quick text 

The pair looked their sartorial best with the mother-of-one keeping cool in a navy silk dress which she later covered up with a trendy denim jacket.

The royal added an air of effortless chic to her look with a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses for her outing today. 

Meanwhile former Rugby Captain Mike looked dapper in a navy blue suit which he paired with an indigo silk tie and a light blue shirt.

Zara, 36, and Mike, 38, have tickets to see Andy Murray takes on Benoit Paire at with his world number one ranking on the line for the first time. 

Since ascending to top spot in November, Murray has been out in front as tennis' top man despite an indifferent start to this season.

He has been more impressive in progressing to the second week in search of his third Wimbledon title, winning in straight sets against Alexander Bublik and Dustin Brown before coming through a tougher test against Fabio Fognini.

The couple appeared to be enthralled in the match with Zara seen biting her lip during a particularly tense moment 

But it was all smiles as Murray took the second set against the French tennis player 

Kim Murray was also in attendance to watch her husband on court and opted for a Gallic brand when it came to Wimbledon fashion today, picking a stylish maternity dress from Séraphine.

Kim, 29, who is expecting baby number two with husband Andy, was the epitome of understated chic in the £65 belted denim shirt dress, paired with her signature oversized shades and a black leather tote. 

The tennis WAG, who already has daughter Sophia Olivia with the world number one, could be seen watching intently in the nail-biting 96-minute showdown, gritting her teeth and running her hands through her hair.  

Kim, who has her own business painting portraits of pets, gave birth to Sophia Olivia in February last year – just days after Andy flew back to Britain from the Australian Open.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour went for a similar look to Carole, wearing a floral dress teamed with a neutral handbag and heels 

Meanwhile, Carole Middleton proved that she's the real tennis enthusiast in the family by being the first of the clan to visit SW19 for the second time during the Championships. 

The Middleton matriarch, 61, was in good company as she joined a host of famous faces from the world of sport, including boxer David Haye, golfer Ernie Els and Sir Ben Ainslie in South West London. 

Carole was the picture of summery perfection in a blue floral dress as she arrived to watch Andy Murray this afternoon, going for the same kind of look as Vogue editor Anna Wintour who also looked elegant in a patterned dress.

Wisely, Carole brought a hat and sunglasses along to keep the sun off her face as temperatures soared to 24C, but she might not be needing them for long with rain predicted for this afternoon.
