Sarah, speaking with The Sunday Times earlier this month, addressed the three-decade-plus age gap between her and Holland, explaining that people have misconceptions.
'People look at me and Holland and say, "Mommy issues," but I parent her as much as she parents me, so that’s not it,' Sarah told the publication.
She continued: 'I think a lot of people have a stunted way of looking at older people, it’s a way of distancing themselves from something that they think will not happen to them. I have the good fortune of being with someone who is older and wiser than I am.'
Paulson was previously in relationships with Tony Award-winning entertainer Cherry Jones, 61; and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts, 52.
She also recently told Modern Luxury that they began dating after setting up a dinner date over Twitter.
She explained that a few years after first meeting each other at the party, their paths crossed again, at which point they followed each other on Twitter, exchanged direct messages and decided to go out for dinner - and they’ve been going strong ever since.
Her latest movie is Ocean's 8 with an all-star female line-up.
The blockbuster sees Debbie (Sandra Bullock) - the estranged sister of Danny Ocean - attempt to pull of a $150 million heist at the Met Gala.
Paulson plays Tammy, a suburban mum and Debbie's former partner-in-crime.
The film is also rife with celebrity cameos, with names ranging from Kim Kardashian to Zayn Malik to Heidi Klum.
