Jenna Dewan scores new Netflix gig on musical drama Mixtape just months after Channing Tatum split

She announced the end of her marriage to Channing Tatum earlier this year.

But Jenna Dewan has something she can smile about right now. 

The 37-year-old dancing queen just scored a sweet gig starring on Netflix.

The mother of one will star in Quantico creator Joshua Safran’s musical drama Mixtape for 10 episodes.

Fox actually passed on the show for it's upcoming fall lineup.

The series is described as a romantic musical drama that looks at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds. 

The upcoming show also stars Revenge alum Madeline Stowe and La La Land actress Callie Hernandez.

Dewan is set to play Joanna, while Hernandez is Nellie, Stowe is Margot, Jahmil French is Dante, Campbell Scott is Frank, Marianne Jean-Baptiste is Annette, Megan Ferguson is Gigi and Evan Whitten is Barry. 

The lead role of Sam, played by Raul Castillo in the pilot, will be recast.

This is good news for the Connecticut native who just recently ended a marriage with actor Channing Tatum, the father of her five-year-old daughter Everly.

'We're just getting used to it,' Dewan said about their split during an interview with Harpers Bazaar. 

'We're in a very positive energy together, trying to be the best parents to Everly. We support each other.'

The statement released on April 2 said, 'There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly.'

Channing and Jenna would have celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on July 11, and will celebrate their daughter's fifth birthday on May 31.
