'Delta are terrible!' Busy Philipps slams airline for re-booking her and her nine-year-old daughter Birdie on SEPARATE planes to different locations after their original flight was canceled

Busy Philipps has publicly slammed Delta Airlines, saying the company re-routed her nine-year-old child on a different flight from hers during a domestic trip.

The actress, 39, took to Twitter on Friday to publicly call out Delta, deeming the airline 'terrible' and accusing it of booking her daughter Birdie on a separate plane after canceling their original flight.

Busy, who was in Los Angeles on Thursday, was traveling with nine-year-old Birdie and her youngest daughter Cricket, who is turning five on Monday.

'Hey @Delta! Thanks for cancelling my flight and then rerouting us and separating my MINOR child onto a different flight than mine and having a 2 HR call time wait!' Busy wrote in a new-deleted tweet according to People. 'You are terrible!' 

Busy provided more details on her Instagram Story, explaining that she had received 'a text that our other flight was canceled and they had rerouted us and put us on different planes to different places'.

The mother said 'B was going to Detroit' while she was headed to St. Paul, Minnesota.

Her family was eventually able to travel together.

'Thankfully, we found a flight that we could all get on at 2:30 in the morning,' she said on her Instagram Story according to People.

On Twitter, a fan asked Busy whether Birdie had to travel by herself, writing: 'Why would they separate you from your child? Please tell me you didn't let them fly without you. OMG.'

Busy made it clear that was never a possibility in her mind and responded: 'I would NEVER!!!!!!'

Delta has apologized for the incident. An employee told the actress on Twitter: 'Hello, Busy. My sincere apology, please be assured that this does not represent the Delta Brand of customer service.'

That same employee added in a separate tweet: 'I really would like an opportunity, to do everything possible to help, please share with me in a direct message your ticket number or Confirmation Code from this travel.'

The airline told People it has refunded the unused part of Busy's travel arrangements. 

Delta apologized in a statement to the publication 'for the inconvenience this caused Ms. Philipps'.

'Delta worked quickly to resolve the rebooking issue and coordinated directly with the customer to adjust their travel,' the company added.

Busy has since posted photos of herself and her family enjoying a beach vacation ahead of the Fourth of July.

On Monday she shared a cute snap of her daughter cricket clutching a bowl of popcorn and wearing swimming goggles, writing in the caption: 'She goes so hard. Happy fifth birthday Cricket.'

The actress uploaded a beach selfie on Sunday, in which she can be seen in a swimsuit and sunglasses, with the ocean behind her back.

On Sunday, Busy shared a video of herself with the words 'I'm living my life' written three times on top of the footage, making it clear she was having a great time.

She then posted videos of herself enjoying an evening out with friends over the weekend, indicating she is now in Charleston, South Carolina.
