She has had somewhat of a regal makeover following her marriage to Prince Harry but it seems that Meghan was back to her former fashion choices as she arrived at the polo alongside her husband this afternoon on what would have been Princess Diana's 57th birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex cut a very casual figure in a pair of black skinny jeans and an oversize white shirt on the second day of the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park in Ascot.

Doing away with the formal high heels we have seen her wearing of late, Meghan opted for a pair of flat black ballet pumps to negotiate the bumpy field.

In light of the sunny weather the 36-year-old came armed with a pair of sunglasses and could be seen carrying a panama hat, £47 by Madewell.

Leading the way was Prince Harry who looked equally relaxed in a grey short sleeved t-shirt for the afternoon ahead.

The couple made a subtle entrance to the polo at Ascot, Berkshire, entering via the rear entrance on Sunday afternoon.

July 1 marks what would have been the late Princess Diana's 57th birthday. Prince William is thought to be marking the occasion privately at home.

The newlyweds were also in attendance at the event on Saturday where the newly-minted Duchess was seen cheering on her new husband.

The royal newlyweds were also accompanied by their good friends Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian who both attended the Royal Wedding at Windsor Castle in May.

Style it simple like The Duchess of Sussex in a linen shirt

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at the Audi Polo Challenge, for the second day running, looking as loved up as ever. As usual, all eyes were on the Duchess, and particularly her choice of outfit for the event.

Meghan nailed off-duty style in a monochrome ensemble that comprised of cropped skinny jeans, a button-up blouse, a straw fedora by Madewell and a pair of Chanel ballerina flats. We just can’t fault this simple yet chic look; it’s the perfect choice for casual outings and weekend trips.
