He has shared a number of intimate snaps from his son Josh's wedding to fiancé Hollie Kane in Mallorca.

But Mark Wright's father confused his followers on Monday, by posting one of his daughter-in-law Michelle Keegan at the ceremony, beside a cryptic caption.

The father-of-four, nicknamed Big Mark, sent his 83,000 Instagram followers into a spin by sharing a stunning image of the actress, 31, dancing at the reception, with the words: 'You know, we know'.

The image saw Michelle, clad in her lavish burnt orange dress, beaming for the camera while fanning herself off in the blazing sunshine.

Posing against the idyllic Mallorcan backdrop, the Our Girl star looked truly radiant as she ran her other hand through her hair for the candid snap.

However, it was Mark Snr's caption that caught the most attention, reading: 'And a big thank you to my daughter in law #youknowweknow'

Yet, many soon blasted this claim, writing: 'Jeez why does everyone just assume she’s pregnant... I’m sure her father in law wouldn’t put it out there before they did! Xxx' (sic). There is no reason to believe that Michelle is pregnant.

The post has since been removed from Mark's page - with his most recent snaps now a string of others from son Josh's wedding.

One was a sweet group shot of the Wright family - with big Mark and his wife Carol joining their kids Mark, Jess, Natalya and groom Josh beside stylish bride Hollie, clad in a stunning white lace and mesh gown.

Clearly delighted by the occasion, big Mark wrote in the caption: 'Very proud dad and father in law who will cherish this day forever.'

Josh, 28, married his long-term girlfriend in a sun-soaked ceremony in La Fortaleza earlier this month, with the intimate details published in Hello! magazine.

Speaking at the nuptials, best man Mark revealed his footballer brother was his best friend, and that he would not have missed the event for the world - despite now living in Los Angeles to act as a correspondent on Extra TV.

'I am so proud of my brother every day' Mark told the publication. 'He is my best friend, the kindest, most special man on the planet.

Michelle was also no doubt happy to be reunited with her husband, now the pair live on opposite sides of the globe.

The good-looking duo married in 2015, with Mark relocating to the States two years later to take on his new television presenting role, while Michelle remained at home to continue her acting career.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine last month, Mark stood by their unconventional situation, and blasted naysayers who think long-distance romance can't work.

He said: 'We're back and forward all the time. I just come to see her for a weekend and try and make sure it's three weeks maximum that we don't see each other.

'People are told and taught long distance relationships can’t work. Why can’t they work?

'As long as you see each other enough, it keeps things fresh. While we're young and we're still so in love and so happy, and she’s travelling round the world with her work, why not?'
