Geordie Shore's James Tindale 'set to make explosive return to the show' four years after shock departure... as he is spotted on night out with cast

Geordie Shore star James Tindale is reportedly set to return four years after quitting, as bosses think he is 'exactly what the show needs'.

The fitness fanatic, who started the show as a pioneering star in May 2011 but quit in 2014 before a brief return in series 10, is said to be making an explosive return as he will catch up with his former co-stars in a sweet episode.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider said: 'James is already filming with the cast in Newcastle – he was on a night out with them and then they went to a kebab shop.'

James was one of the original stars of the show, as he was unlucky in love on the programme straight away before later becoming embroiled in a complicated and at-times cruel union with Holly Hagan - who admitted her feelings for him.

After dismissing her advances, despite frequently romping with her when his broken leg left him bed-bound during the third season filmed in Mexico.

He went on to find love off-screen with Kate Thorne, an equally fitness loving personal trainer, yet the duo have now broken up.

Back in 2014, when he first announced his departure, James took to Twitter to pen: 'I’ve decided to leave Geordie Shore! It’s been an amazing few years and have memories I’ll never forget. But now moving on to new things.'

The star returned briefly in 2016, before a comeback as a guest in series 15 last year. He is now set to make a comeback again in the 18th series and has been partying with his former co-stars at Newcastle hotspot Bijoux Nightclub.

A source told The Sun: 'James is already filming with the cast in Newcastle – he was on a night out with them and then they went to a kebab shop.

'Everyone was mortal, just like the old days – he was having a catch up with Sophie and getting friendly with Abbie.

'He’s single again and bosses think he’s exactly what the show needs right now.'

On the Geordie night out, he was having a  giggle with his co-stars as they tucked into one of their favoured kebabs.

Looking as handsome as ever, he sported a skin-tight black T-shirt as he enjoyed a flirty chat with crop top clad Abbie Holborn.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for MTV and James for comment.
