Sir Paul McCartney, 76, is in high spirits as he makes his way home after a late birthday dinner with his grandson Arthur, 18

He's the Beatles rocker who is the doting father of five children and grandfather to eight grandchildren.

And Sir Paul McCartney enjoyed a fun family outing at La Petite Maison in Mayfair to celebrate his birthday with his lookalike grandson Arthur on Wednesday.

The music icon, 76, looked relaxed as he spent some quality time with his daughter Mary's child, 18, at the glam restaurant.

The Here Comes The Sun hitmaker looked handsome in his light blue jacket, which he donned over a matching shirt and dark jeans.

Wearing a stylish black cravat that had a key and chain-link print, the musician completed his look with a pair of dark blue trainers.

Sir Paul rocked his signature look, as his brunette locks were swept to one side and fell just shy of his shoulders.

Stepping out in light brown Chelsea boots, the young McCartney looked chic for the outing as his slicked back brunette locks made him look handsome.

In August, Arthur enrolled at America's prestigious Yale University, after leaving £19,545-a-year University College School in Hampstead, north London.

The highly revered Ivy League Institution is the alma mater of five US presidents, and sets students back around £54,500 per year for academic fees, board, books and personal expenses.

Arthur is son to photographer Mary, Sir Paul's eldest biological child with his late wife Linda Eastman, who he was married to from 1969 until she died of breast cancer at age 56 in 1998.

The rocker adopted Linda's daughter from her first marriage Heather, 54, and the couple raised three biological children together: Mary, 48, Stella, 46, and James, 40.

He went onto marry Heather Mills in 2002 but the former flames, who share daughter Beatrice Milly, separated in 2006 and they were divorced in March 2008.

In 2007, he began dating American beauty Nancy Shevell, going on to tie the knot with her at London's Old Marylebone Town Hall in October 2011.
