This week's Love Island has mostly been about the way Josh betrayed Georgia when he decided he preferred Kaz.

And while the nation were fully behind Georgia in her heartbreak, fans were slightly baffled when she pulled a strange stunt on Thursday.

Having been sent a text asking her to choose two men to take on a date, Georgia selected Sam and Jack - the latter being the partner of her good friend Laura.

Making matters worse, Laura's ex Wes was also offered the chance to take two people on a date, choosing Darylle and Megan.

A baffled Laura attempted to make sense of this decision, asking Georgia to explain her logic.

'I just want to go with someone who makes me laugh, and at the end of the day he's funny,' was Georgia's explanation, despite having hardly crossed paths with him at all thus far.

After assuring Laura that there was nothing to worry about, she was then seen on the date with Jack, flirting like the Dickens.

Jack replied: 'At the moment with Laura it's going really well but I'm never going to close a book. If there was ever a girl who would turn my head, it would be you'

'Don't get me wrong, I think you and Laura are lovely, but at the same time I have to look at a bigger veriety,' Georgia declared, over a bottle of champagne. 'At the end of the day, I ain't here to take the easy route, I'm in here to be me.'

Jack replied: 'At the moment with Laura it's going really well but I'm never going to close a book. If there was ever a girl who would turn my head, it would be you.'

At the end of the date, they shared a quick kiss - but Georgia was seen grabbing Jack and going in for more.

Others felt that Laura had overeacted somewhat, posting: 'Laura’s moving so panicky chill, did Georgia say she fancies Jack?'

A second wrote: 'I mean, Georgia got told to choose TWO people. Just because she chose Laura’s “man” doesn’t mean she fancies him, she needs to calm down.'

Another penned: 'I still love Georgia she had the balls to tell Laura and Laura came across as a jealous psycho in my opinion!'
