Love Island: Megan Barton Hanson's 'humiliated' father 'takes time off work' as he's 'embarrassed' by her behaviour

Megan Barton Hanson's father Kevin has reportedly bolted from work because he is so ashamed by his daughter's antics on Love Island.

A friend of Kevin Barton Hanson - a senior marine technician for an insurance broker company - told The Sun the high flying father is 'humiliated'.

The embarrassment is allegedly so bad, he's taken a leave of three weeks to get away from it all.

The source said: 'Kevin is humiliated and has taken three weeks off work so he doesn't have to face anyone.

'If he could have taken three months off, I'm pretty sure he would have.'

They continued: 'He's not coped well with the thought of the country ogling his daughter in the Love Island villa.'

MailOnline has contacted Megan's representatives for comment.

During Friday night's episode, exotic dancer Megan nailed her sizzling look as she was clad in a Moulin Rouge-inspired ensemble with a corset boosting her cleavage and a volumunious frilled skirt.

Upon entering the show, Megan revealed her stripper past to Alex, as she said: 'Well I was a legal PA travelling for like three years..

'Making no money and travelling back and forth into London. Literally, I was like, I can't do this anymore.

'So on the side I started dancing and then I realised I was earning the same money that I would earn in a month in like two days.'

Megan became the show's resident villain due to her love rat ways after ditching Eyal to hook up with Wes.

Curly haired reality star Eyal, 22, defended Megan after she unapologetically ditched Wes Nelson for new beau Alex Miller this week.

Eyal exclusively told MailOnline: 'I was surprised Megan ditched Wes so quickly, but Love Island is all about finding out who you wanna be with.

'She always said she wanted to be with an older guy, and Alex is older. I guess she's gone with her heart.'

And despite being unhappy with Wes after he so blatantly flaunted hooking up with Megan, Eyal claims he now feels sorry for him after he too became unceremoniously ditched by her.

Eyal said: 'Of course I feel sorry for Wes. Anyone with a heart would feel sorry for him walking back into that situation.

'He clearly had genuine feelings for Meg and proved it by staying loyal to her in Casa Amore. So, coming back to that must have been tough for him.'

Megan will once again have to share a bed with Wes after he chose to couple up with her on Thursday night's recoupling, which saw her current partner Alex dumped from the island.
