Stephen is also father to 25-year-old daughter Alaia with wife Kennya, who he married in 1990.

Prior to the congratulations tweet, the Bio-Dome actor shared a religious quote with the hashtag, #blessed.

'John 1:14 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us,' he tweeted. 'We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.' he wrote.

TMZ broke the news on Sunday that the Canadian singer got down on one knee at a restaurant in the Bahamas on Saturday.

Two eyewitnesses told the website that Justin's security team asked people to put their phones away as something special was about to take place.

Stephen's tweet came after Justin's father Jeremy Bieber spoke about how proud he is of his son in an Instagram he shared over the weekend.
