Busy Philipps and Colin Hanks dated back in college while attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

And on Sunday, Busy tagged Colin on Twitter after discovering an InStyle article titled: If Your Ex Wants to Be Friends With You, Science Says They Might Be a Psychopath.

The study published by Personality And Individual Differences found that people who stay friends with their exes tend to 'score higher on measures of dark personality traits.'

'Cc': On Sunday, Busy tagged Colin on Twitter after discovering an InStyle article titled: If Your Ex Wants to Be Friends With You, Science Says They Might Be a Psychopath

The article went on to say that those with psychopathic tendencies often list 'sex and practicality' as reason to stay in contact with an ex.

As for Busy and Colin, their continued friendship most likely falls under the more popular reason of 'sentimentality and nostalgia.'

While co-hosting LIVE with Kelly Ripa in January 2017, Philipps talked about her past and present relationship with Hanks.

'He was my college boyfriend,' she said. 'We are very very close friends now. His wife and I are very tight. He and my husband hangout. We go on vacation together.'
