They caused quite a stir during their long-awaited joint Wimbledon appearance.

And while Kate and Meghan were watching Serena Williams thrash it out in the women's finals, there was plenty of competition off-court in the form of the royals' outfits.

With the Duchess of Cambridge in bespoke Jenny Packham and the Duchess of Sussex in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren, the sisters-in-law have sparked a huge sales boost.

According to new data from Lyst, it was a case of spots vs. stripes as shoppers went into a frenzy over 'Jenny Packham polka dot dresses' while searches for Meghan's shirt and trousers went through the roof.

No wardrobe is complete without a Breton shirt, and Meghan’s version by Ralph Lauren offers the perfect staple. The navy and white colorway is timeless, while the relaxed fit is effortless to wear both on casual and formal occasions.

The sisters-in-law were making their first official 'double date' since Meghan became a royal as they watched Angelique Kerber defeat Serena Williams in the women's singles finals.

Keen tennis fan Kate is Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, but wasn't expected to attend the tournament as she is currently still on maternity leave following the birth of Prince Louis in April.

Meghan is a close friend of Serena Williams, while the entire Cambridge clan are devoted Federer fans with both players receiving invites to Harry and William's weddings.

Despite support from both Duchesses, Serena failed to win her eighth Wimbledon title, with Angelique Kerber taking a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

The American was the first mother to reach the final since Australian Evonne Goolagong triumphed 38 years ago.
