Versace or Versace - how do you pronounce it?

The brand has revealed the correct way to say its name, and many of us will have been getting it wrong for decades.

In a video posted to Instagram, models including Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber join Donatella Versace herself to reveal the correct pronunciation.

They revealed the correct way to say the name is 'Versa-chay' and not the most common mispronunciation of 'Versa-chee'.

In the video the models and Donatella speak one after the other to reveal the pronunciation.

'It's Versace,' they say. 'Not Versace.'

After the models have finished talking, Donatella smiles and nods at the camera before the logo flashes.

Dressed in the brand's clothes, the models use their bodies to form the logo at the very end of the video.

Kaia Gerber joined Bella Hadid and Donatella Versace in a discussion about how to properly pronounce the name of the Italian fashion house. Here, the bright young thing wore a full look from Versace's AW18 collection, which featured a red logo beret, white slogan tee and a statement plaid blazer.

It features 54 models in pictures meant to represent 'inclusivity and diversity' while the Versace website describes as 'key values for Donatella Versace and her vision for the brand'.

The story of the murder of Versace founder Gianni Versace was depicted in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American earlier this year.

It depicted Gianni's brutal murder on the steps outside his home by American spree killer Andrew Cunanan.

The series proved to be a huge success and earned Emmy nominations for its cast, which included Penélope Cruz as Donatella Versace, Édgar Ramírez as Gianni Versace and Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan.

Emmy voting gets underway August 13 and concludes August 27.

The Creative Arts Awards this year are September 8-9, with the Primetime Emmy Awards set for Monday, September 17 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
