Samantha Markle took to Twitter to slam the new royal for being 'cold' and 'ignoring her own father' while she paid tribute to others. During the furious rant, Samantha also said she would hold the Duchess responsible if their father died (inset), just hours after the former Hollywood lighting director spoke with TMZ about how he would stop doing media interviews if he could speak with his daughter. Man dies one hour after being told his lifelong partner was killed in a crash

A man has tragically died just one hour after hearing the news that his partner of 35 years had been killed in a car crash.  Ron Niemi, 59, and Barbara Butler, 64, both passed away last Tuesday in Pigeon, Michigan. In his dying breaths, a heartbroken Ron had told the couple's children that he didn't know what he would do without their mother. The couple, described as lifelong companions, leave behind nine children and 25 grandchildren who are all struggling to deal with the tragic loss of both parents. Barbara was killed when she crashed her car at an intersection in Huron County on the night of July 10. Ron had started calling their children to inform them of the news when he collapsed an hour later and had to be rushed to nearby Scheurer Hospital.

A look back at the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's New Zealand trip in 2015

In October, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to touch down in New Zealand, as one of four stops on their official tour for the Invictus Games. But this won't be the first time Meghan Markle (left, right, top inset) has visited the Land of the Long White Cloud. In 2015, the then-Suits actress and founder of lifestyle website The Tig took a two-week road trip through New Zealand in a camper van (left and right), visiting both the country's North and South Islands. Here, FEMAIL takes a look at how the Royal travelled way back when, and how different it might be this time around (bottom inset: Wharekauhau Lodge, near Wellington).

Trump's darkest day: Defiant president calls Putin summit a 'great success' - hours after he tried to end the crisis by saying he DOES believe Russia meddled in 2016, but was cut off by John Kelly turning off the lights

President Trump has called his Helsinki summit with Vladimir Putin a 'huge success' just hours after saying that he misspoke when he said he saw no reason to believe Russia had interfered in the 2016 US election. A defiant Trump tweeted Tuesday night that the 'meeting between President Putin and myself was a great success, except in the Fake News Media!' It came just hours after he spoke directly to cameras on Tuesday afternoon in an effort to blunt criticism of a press conference with Putin at which he let the Russian president off the hook for election interference. Glancing at a printed statement that he had marked up with hand-written edits throughout his remarks, Trump said he accepts his intelligence community's assessment that Russia meddled in the election - although it could be other people also - and said he meant to say yesterday that he had no reason to doubt the professionals within his administration. And there was a second dig at his own most senior spies as Trump's chief of staff John Kelly accidentally switched off the lights, plunging the White House cabinet room into temporary darkness and prompting Trump to quip: 'That must be the intelligence agencies.' Trump said he was surprised by the firestorm that awaited him when he arrived on Monday in Washington and realized he needed to 'clear up' his comments after reviewing the transcript of his presser with Putin. The president said that he has the 'greatest respect' for his intelligence chiefs.

Russian agency named in Mueller indictments is a feared unit with a large global network

What is the Russian military intelligence unit that is being accused by the United States of a hacking campaign meant to disrupt the 2016 presidential election? The GRU - an acronym which stands for Glavnoye razvedyvatel’noye upravleniye , or Main Intelligence Directorate - is at the center of the election meddling scandal. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team handed down indictments last week against 12 senior members of the agency, alleging that they masterminded the hacking campaign against the Democratic Party. GRU special forces are seen left in North Ossetia in a file photo. Russian President Vladimir Putin is seen inset.

State Department translator was present for every moment of Trump's dealings with Putin

There is an American besides President Donald Trump who was privy to the two-hour private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin – a government translator who sat in on the entire meeting. Marina Gross sat in on the entire Helsinki summit meeting between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Democrats want to call her to testify but the GOP controls Congress. There have been no indications how or whether Trump or his translator will be debriefed or if records will be kept.

The president used an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News to hit back at Obama's spy chief for calling him 'nothing short of treasonous' after meeting Putin in Helsinki.

Indiana police REFUSE to say if suspect accused of killing April Tinsely is linked to

Police have refused to say if John Miller, (inset top) arrested on Sunday for the 1988 murder of April Tinsley (right), eight, could be a suspect in the murders of Libby German (inset left), 14, and Abby Williams (inset right), 13, killed just last year. Miller, 59, allegedly raped April and strangled her to death before dumping her body on a country road. Two years later, he wrote on a barnyard door: 'I kill eight-year-old April Marie Tinsley. I will kill again', and in 2004, he left a note on a young girl's bike threatening to kill her too. Carroll County Police say they have not yet discussed asking Fort Wayne Police for Miller's DNA to test it against their own evidence from the scene of Libby and Abby's murders. Police in nearby Delphi have been asking the public for assistance in identifying a man Libby took a photo of shortly before her death (left), believing he may be the suspect they are looking for. Within months, they had nearly 9,000 phone calls, but officers are yet to find the girls' killer.
