Thandie Newton holds hands with her husband Ol Parker during romantic lunch date as they celebrate 20th wedding anniversary

Last week, on July 11, she marked 20 years of marriage to writer, director, and producer Oliver 'Ol' Parker.

And Thandie Newton, 45, appeared keen to keep the celebrations going on Tuesday  when she stepped out for a low-key romantic lunch date with her 49-year-old husband in London's upscale Notting Hill.

The actress looked casually cool for the culinary excursion, wearing a grey sweater under a matching coat, with black sweatpants, while she contrasted the subdued tones with a pair of animal-print sandals.

Wearing her braided tresses in a high ponytail, she rested her pink-rimmed sunglasses atop her man as she held hands with her film-maker husband.

Ol, who's currently busy on the promotional trail for his latest movie Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, was also casually dressed, wearing a loose-fitting top and grey trousers, which he teamed with blue Converse hi-tops.

On Monday evening, the couple stepped out with their daughters Ripley, 18, and Nico, 14, as they attended the world premiere of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again at the Eventim Apollo in the west London district of Hammersmith.

Ahead of the screening, the actress shared a snap of her beaming with her two daughters. She wrote: 'With my slices of home on way to @mammamiamovie premiere. So proud of the Daddy! X written and directed by Ol Parker'.

The family were beaming as they made their way down the carpet as they joined a host of famous-faces.

Set 10 years after the original, the film follows Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) as she tries to run her mother Donna's (Meryl Streep) villa in Greece whilst pregnant, as she finds out more about her past.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again 'goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present,' according to Deadline.

Thandie and her husband are also parents to four-year-old son Booker Jombe.

The actress plays android madam Maeve Millay in the critically-acclaimed series Westworld, which earned her a Critics' Choice Award, and Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Emmy Award nominations.

And the London-born beauty admitted to Entertainment Weekly that if she had a humanoid robot of her own, she'd have it take on a tiring parenting duty for her.

'I would have it take over from me on the trampoline — because my son can go at that s**t for five hours straight,' she said back in 2016. 'It’s just stamina and being 43 stops me.'
