Harry Potter star Rupert Grint is worlds away from his Ron Weasley days as he sports suave suit to film new Poirot series The ABC Murders in Yorkshire
He won an army of fans for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series.
But Harry Potter star Rupert Grint was worlds away from his Ron Weasley persona on Tuesday as he sported a suave 1930s-style suit for film scenes for his upcoming Hercule Poirot series The ABC Murders.
The 29-year-old actor was spotted in character to film scenes on location in Yorkshire's Bradford City Hall with an army of extras, as he is set to star opposite John Malkovich as the famous detective in yet another adaptation of the Agatha Christie novels.
Putting on a jovial display, Rupert was sporting some quirky red heart-framed sunglasses as he arrived for filming at the Town Hall, rocking a navy pinstriped three-piece suit as he got into character playing Inspector Crome.

Heading to the doors of the building, Rupert covered up his suit in a brown tweed trench coat and matching hat, looking every inch the sleuth as he filmed alongside the group of actors.

In recent weeks the latest adaptation of Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders has courted much backlash from fans who were less-than impressed to see John Malkovich's incarnation looked little like previous actors who had taken on the role of Hercule Poirot.
The character - who was previously played by David Suchet in the long-running TV series - will appear in the miniseries which tells the tale of an ABC killer who targets Poirot with a series of cryptic notes and letters.
After a snap was released showing John in character as Poirot in his signature suit - but with a decidedly white and fluffy moustache - fans were less than impressed and took to social media to share their views.
One unhappy watcher wrote on Twitter: 'I feel certain the first rule of anything Poirot is 'Mustache.' 'I see no mustache other than the one connected to an awful goatee.'
Another impassioned Agatha Christie fan quoted Poirot himself: ''Shall I say that he interested me because he was trying to grow a moustache and as yet the result is poor.' Poirot stroked his own magnificent moustache tenderly.
''It is an art,' he murmured, ''the growing of the moustache!'' I fear Malkovich hasn't heeded this advice!'
However, one said it could just take some adapting to: 'Not sure how I feel about the lack of the moustache, that's gonna take some getting used to...but then again, Suchet is my first and dearest Poirot so you could say I'm biased lol.'
