On Thursday morning, more than 150 models from the world's leading agencies arrived in Bondi with the hope of being cast in the coveted David Jones Spring Summer 17 Collections Launch. 

Despite the chilly weather, the models slipped into swimwear and activewear and stormed the makeshift runway in front of David Jones Ambassador, Jesinta Campbell, P.E Nation co-founder, Pip Edwards, and David Jones head stylist, Thelma McQuillan.

And although the models stunned in the summery pieces, their natural beauty may not have been enough for Campbell, who hinted that she expected the models to have a bronzed glow for the occasion.

Appearing on Today Extra on Thursday, Jesinta revealed she expected the models to have a summer glow for the competitive casting call.

'The Spring/Summer - it really is all about a little but more skin compared to Autumn/Winter so we are going to see a lot of activewear on the runway and also a lot of swimwear,' the 25-year-old model told hosts Sonia Kruger and Richard Wilkins.

'Today the models will be casting in some P.E Nation activewear and we've also got the head designer of P.E Nation Pip on the casting panel with us today so we will be seeing a little bit of skin today.
