The New York Daily News reported that a financial statement recently made public shows that Noth donated $2,500 Nixon's campaign.

The financial statement also revealed the names of several other celebrity donors — the most generous of which being Alec Baldwin, who gave $16,000.

Susan Sarandon and Lena Dunham each donated $10,000, while Debra Messing gave $500.

Past donors have included Rosie O’Donnell, Mary-Louise Parker, Zachary Quinto, and Kyra Sedgwick. Sarah Jessica Parker has donated $5,000, while Kristin Davis has given $2,000.

Some of her promises so far have included legalizing marijuana, fixing income inequality, and improving the MTA, New York City's public transit system.

In addition to putting their money where their mouths are, several of Nixon's co-stars have spoken out publicly to support her.

Shortly after Cynthia announced in March, SJP endorsed her on Instagram, posting a link to her campaign site.

'A mother, An activist, An advocate, A fighter, A NY'er, A dear friend  - Running for Governor of our great state,'she wrote. 'My sister on and off screen, you have my love, support and vote.'

Kristin posted on Instagram, too, writing: 'I am thrilled to support her and I know that she cares deeply about the issues facing all of us. I’m so proud of her and I know she will work tirelessly to create change for all who need representation.'

David Eigenberg, who played Steve, also tweeted.

'Happy to see my friend running to help all the great folks of NY state!' he wrote. 'A wonderful and smart and most of all ...deeply ethical person. Go forward Cynthia, Serving the people of New York.'

Though he lives out of state and cannot vote for her, he said he would if he could.

'She’s incredibly smart and caring, diplomatic and brave,' he later told The Cut. 'I truly believe she has a genuine and heartfelt desire to move towards a common good for all the people of the Great State of New York.'

Lynn Cohen, who played Magda, spoke to The Cut as well.

'She’s an amazing person, and she’s been talking about the schools and the children and I wish we had more people like that who are interested in the government,' she said. 'I also think we need women. You look at the government now and you think, where are the women? … Women are the smartest, let’s face it.

'I don’t think she’s ambitious in a political way, she really is involved in making life better for other people: for children, for people who don’t have it. You don’t see too many politicians like that.'

Only Kim Cattrall, who has famously feuded with her castmates, offered lukewarm words.

'I support & respect any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices,' she wrote on Twitter, responding to a fan's inquiry as to her thoughts on Cynthia's run.

Meanwhile, Gov. Cuomo's campaign reported raising just over $6 million from January to the end of May, and has $31.1 million on hand.
