Boy meets plastic surgeon! Ben Savage has pointy new nose as he returns to role that made him famous in Girl Meets World

He became a childhood favourite to a generation of fans when he starred in Boy Meets World.

But while Ben Savage has returned to the role of Cory Matthews in a spinoff show, he is doing it with a very different looking profile.

For the 33-year-old appears to have had a nose job if his pointy looking schnozzle on Girl Meets World is any guide.

It is certainly a much different look to the rounded conker his fans know and love from his early days on the show.

A long time in the making, fans are looking forward to seeing grown up history teacher Cory and his chemistry with daughter Riley, who is played by Rowan Blanchard and is the main character on the new show.

Explaining the concept, Ben said: 'While fans of the show  I think a lot of Boy Meets World fans are sort of expecting the show to pick up where it left off.

'And for us, really, I don't want them to be disappointed, but this show, Girl Meets World, is for a new generation.

It's not so much a continuation of Boy Meets World as it's a brand-new slate for a brand-new generation of kids.

However he said he is hoping that the programme can be enjoyed by the whole family.

He said: 'Some of the best emails and notes and messages and tweets I've gotten are from former Boy Meets World fans who tell me how much they're excited about watching the new show with their own children.

'It's really a nice feeling to know that they grew up with us, and now their kids are going to get to grow up with Girl Meets World.

Disney have just released the first trailer promoting the show's summer debut, and it shows Ben and on-screen wife Danielle Fishel bringing up their own family in New York City.
