Sea of 361 Golden Retrievers floods Guisachan House in Tomich

The golden retriever was celebrated at Guisachan House in Tomich, Inverness-shire. The well-loved canine was first bred on the estate in the 19th century by estate owner Lord Tweedmouth. The task of bringing together so many dogs - and ensuring they all went home with the right owner - fell to chairman Doreen McGugan. She said: 'The 150th has been a roaring success. We've gone from 188 golden retrievers at the 2006 gathering, 222 in 2016, to 361 today. We've beaten our record on the big anniversary.' Pictured top: 361 happy canines laze about in the sun. Ian Poulter flukes his way over water and through a bunker in the SAME shot to delight British Open spectators and boost hopes of making weekend cut

Fortune was smiling on Ian Poulter on Thursday as he pulled off a remarkable fluke shot to keep his hopes of a British Open challenge going. The 42-year-old Englishman was two-over par and on the 18th hole at Carnoustie when he performed the amazing escape act. Situated in the rough after a poor start to the hole, Poulter blasted a drive that seemed destined for the water, only for the ball to take a massive bounce towards a bunker. The ball continued to gather speed before making its way through the bunker and landing just short of the green.
