Asia Argento posts never-before-seen photo of Anthony Bourdain and herself taken just before his death - and is trolled for kissing another man a few days prior to chef's suicide
- Asia Argento posted a photo of Anthony Bourdain with the Dante quote: 'There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were happy'
- The image prompted an outpouring of support and some trolling from AJ Benza, a former Howard Stern sidekick who worked with Harvey Weinsten
- 'This pic was taken B.C - Before Clement,' wrote Benza, referencing the photos that were snapped of Argento embracing French journalist Hugo Clement
- Argento responded buy writing: '[G]ood going for trolling me on IG too Benza. I go DAs on you and your relations to HW. No pasaran!'
An Instagram post meant to pay tribute to her late boyfriend backfired for Asia Argento on Friday when she was criticized by a former Howard Stern sidekick.
Argento posted a never-before-seen photo of herself and Bourdain on Thursday that was taken just days before his death while the two were in Florence.
She captioned the image in Italian with a line from Dante's Divine Comedy, that in English reads: 'There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were happy.'
The image prompted an outpouring of love and support from the likes of Rosanna Arquette, Ambra Gutierrez and Rose McGowan, who like Argento were all victims of Harvey Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct.
It also prompted some trolling too, with former Howard Stern sidekick and gossip columnist AJ Benza going after Argento in the comments.

'This pic was taken B.C - Before Clement,' wrote Benza, referencing the photos that were snapped of Argento embracing French journalist Hugo Clement while the pair were in Italy back in June.
Just a few days later, Bourdain took his life.
Argento responded buy writing: '[G]ood going for trolling me on IG too Benza. I go DAs on you and your relations to HW. No pasaran!'
That phrase translates to 'they shall not pass' English.
Benza has been accused of helping Weinstein cover his tracks when he began having an affair with Georgina Chapman during his first marriage.
He would allegedly do this by offering up gossip items that Weinstein's team could barter to kill any leaks about his affair with Chapman, which his publicist previously said did not begin until he and first wife Eve were separated.
'I could supply your P.R. girls with a lot of gossip - a lot of stories - and if people come at them with the "Harvey’s having an affair story," they can barter,' Benza told The New York Times last year.
'He said, "A. J., it’s got to be good stories," and I said, "Don’t you worry about it."'
Benza did not respond to Argento on Instagram, instead choosing to air his grievances on Twitter
Benza was then paid a monthly retainer for close to a year he said, until it was determined that Weinstein was safe to start making public appearances with Chapman, who he would go on to marry.
In that article, Benza also said that his relationship with Weinstein began when the executive texted him: 'Help me.'
Weinstein's rep did not deny the payments at the time, but said they were for a Disney project Benza worked on for the then-Miramax chief.
Benza did not respond to Argento on Instagram, instead choosing to air his grievances on Twitter by attaching a grab of her comment and writing: 'So it's come to this. Asia Argento is sicking the law on me. And I say, BRING IT ON.'
He later wrote that Argento was a 'lunatic' and 'loser' while calling her claims 'witchy bulls***.'
