Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson bring two-year-old son Boomer to Kids' Choice Sports Awards

Santa Monica's Barker Hangar played host to the Kids' Choice Sports Awards Thursday.

So when twice-retired swimming legend Michael Phelps swung by the event, he made sure to bring along his two-year-old son Boomer.

The dashing 33-year-old athlete cradled his firstborn as he posed with his wife Nicole Johnson, having apparently left their six-month-old son Beckett at home.

Michael flashed his megawatt smile for the shutterbugs, keeping his look simple by modeling a slightly sweaty white dress shirt and black dress pants.

The Baltimore-born athlete cinched a belt round his waistline, playing up his still svelte swimmer's figure, and rounded off the look with black shoes.

Meanwhile, Nicole, who was garlanded Miss California USA 2014, slid into a black, white and red print mini-dress adorned with tiers of frills.

Her outfit tightened in at the midriff to emphasize her already impressively trim post-baby body, and the hem was high enough to show off her chiseled legs.

Nicole heightened the leggy effect with a sleek pair of nude stilettos, accentuating her features with makeup for her stint on the orange carpet.

At one point, Michael and Boomer also posed alongside NFL heartthrob Russell Wilson, who was with his wife Ciara and their year-old daughter Sienna.

They were also joined by Ciara's four-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn, whom she had by her erstwhile fiancé, the rapper Future.

Awards shows have been crucial to building Nicole and Michael's family - they first met, after all, at the ESPY Awards in 2007.

After an on-off romance of nearly a decade, they had a secret wedding in Paradise Valley, Arizona in June 2016, the month after Boomer was born, per CNN.

Michael, who has had two drink driving arrests a decade apart, went to rehab and gave up drinking ahead of the 2016 Olympics - his last.

He had initially retired in 2012 after that year's Olympics in London, but he returned to the fray in 2014 before retiring again after the Rio De Janeiro Olympics.
