And director Rachel Griffiths has praised Teresa Palmer's commitment to playing the female jockey, who famously won the Melbourne Cup in 2015.
The Muriel's Wedding star told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday Teresa's dedication was similar to that shown by Margot Robbie while playing Tonya Harding.

'It's not dissimilar to Margot Robbie in I, Tonya,' Rachel told the publication, praising Teresa's work ethic.
Rachel also hinted that Teresa had made the decision to method act as much as possible, despite the resulting pain and stamina needed to ride a racing horse.
'I certainly won't dictate to Teresa the choices I might have made as a young woman in the role,' she added.

'It’s begun! Day 1 of training to play @michellejpayne_ in #RideLikeAGirl,' she captioned the photo.
Teresa also added the hashtags '#feeltheburn' and '#jellylegs', revealing the preparation was already taking a physical toll.
Last September, Teresa confirmed she was set to play Michelle in a biopic, writing on Instagram that she was over the moon with the role.

'Thrilled that I'll be playing Michelle Payne in "Ride Like A Girl" directed by Rachel Griffiths,' she wrote.
Quoting Michelle's 2015 Melbourne Cup victory speech Teresa also added: 'I just want to say to everyone else to "Get stuffed" if they think women aren't strong enough, because we just beat the world.'
The film will star Sam Neill as Michelle's dad Paddy, with the jockey's brother Stevie playing himself in the biopic.
